Overall

Gosh..where do I start ?

We went to this place a couple years ago when it was new. We had a bad experience with both service and food.

But then a few years passed and we probably forgot that experience or mentally blocked it ..and tried it again today...on 06/11/2015 !

We ended up with this waitress Madeline...who was completely clueless and super rude !

She got 'every single thing' wrong about our order.. From the beer we ordered to the food.

When we pointed out to her that the beer 'was not Corona as we ordered' she snapped immediately 'Yes it is !'. We were like....HUH ??

We were also so awestruck by the number of times she actually 'rolled her eyes' at us !!

She was condescending and very very rude and unprofessional !

When we called her back again regarding our messed up order..2 more waiters stood there and argued with us while the food actually got completely cold. We didn't dare to ask for the manager because I read a few reviews of this place on Yelp and Facebook that said the manager is actually more rude than the rest of the staff ! YIKES !!!

Food was so horrible...and so badly presented that we simply rushed out of there.

Terrible service and OMG horrible food.

Oh did I say that while all the customers were trying to enjoy whatever food we were stuck with..the cleaning guy was walking around with his extremely dirty smelly trolley banging the plates from tables into it. REALLY ?? Don't you do that kind of cleaning AFTER closing ?

Never going back again ! Ever !

Only thing that's good about the restaurant is the decor..but staff and chef - they suck !

What a pity ..Taco bell food and service is way better than this RIPOFF !

Management NEEDS TO CHANGE !

Stay away, run away. Can not even understand why they are still in business!

Overall

We have been here several times and we won't be back again. I had purchased a living social deal, which makes me a little less bitter since my meal was discounted.

Tonight my husband and our two daughters (3 and 6 1/2) went to dinner at El Sol Azteca to start our our three day staycation. When we arrived, the server took our drink order - we got waters, and milks for the girls.

We ordered our food, ate, and then the bill came. I was shocked to see a $6 charge for the two kids milks on my receipt. When I questioned the server, I was told that the kids meals ONLY came with SODA. I asked to speak to the manager, as this was disturbing to me as a parent, and wasn't the case when we had eating there with the kids previously.

The manager came out and was quite rude, asked if I had read the menu which specified "soft drinks" came with the meal. I said that at most restaurants, kids meals included milk as a beverage choice. He kept repeating that they were specific on the new menu. I expressed my concerns, as my children don't drink soda (nor should they - hello obesity epidemic in America). He kept repeating that it was clear on the menu. I also expressed my shock that ordering the healthy choice cost $3/cup. He shrugged his shoulders and kept repeating.

When it was clear he wasn't changing his mind, I told him I'd pay for my meal and the milks, but that we wouldn't be back. He didn't seem to care and I expressed that I'd also be posting this review and sharing my experience with others . . . and that didn't matter to him either.

Needless to say, we won't be back here again. The food is just okay, but the service and attitude hold the whole place back.
