Not ready for prime time! Tried this place for the 1st time last night and was very disappointed. Was there 25 minutes before my beverage finally arrived then came a 10 minute dispute with the owner, via the waitress, over how my certificate should be applied. They finally called the coupon company and discovered that I was right but no apology. The waitress then had a bit of a tude for the rest of the time. Now for the food: the steaks seemed very reasonably priced considering the size but I did not try one so cannot comment. I had the salmon which came overcooked. The blue cheese salad dressing was a 2 on a 10 scale and the beans were unedible. The rice pilaf was very good. I wont be back which is unfortunate because we need more good steak houses in this area.
The only real steak house in Arroyo Grande. Excellent flavors in every item on every plate at the table; fresh, tasty, cooked just like we ordered it on Red Oak. My Dad's off meat and even his vegetable plate got rave reviews. You can't beat it and you better go soon before prices go up or portions go down.
