Service tech showed up said repair was not covered under warranty, explained things with poor attitude, he left and we called the warranty place and they said it was covered he called before he can back out the following week, he asked if we decided to customer pay for repair, we told him no that the warranty department said it was covered, he hung up never called back, then shortly a different tech showed up and fixed the washer under warranty that was purchased in 2016. Obviously he didn't feel like working and or didn't like the labor rate his company pays for this repair.
I bought my washer/dryer in 2006 and have always carried the extended warranties as I am a widowed mom of 4. I have them come out annually and also whenever there's a problem. Although I have to be put on their schedule which at times is up to 2 weeks at times, they are always professional and efficient! Great job!!!
Waynes from Sears showed up on time and was very personable. He showed me what the problem was and even showed me online remedies through youtube and how Sears would fix the problem in comparison. He showed me where the MCU had shorted out and arched inside the plastic housing causing the plastic to fuse onto the MCU board. The process was completed in about 20 minutes. It started out as an F11 error communication issue between my CCU & MCU boards on my Whirlpool Duet.
I waited 2 weeks to get my WhirlPool Duet Steam Washer repaired. It took 3 technicians over 3 visits, and two shipments of computer boards to get it going. I spent last weekend doing laundry; 10 loads to be exact. The second tech told the 3rd tech that if he didn't get it fixed on his trip, to just run! He already knew that there would be blood spilled if I did not get my washing going that time...
I have a repair or replace policy for my stove. Sear can't fix it and they refused to replace it after my Thanksgiving was ruined! Now because I have no stove Christmas is ruined as well. I asked for a refund on the policy I purchased for the repair or replace but they had the audacity to offer me a prorated refund! How dare you? I am mortified by the way I have been treated by your company after twenty years of being a loyal customer. Me and my family are done with Sears if this isn't made right. Imagine as a grandmother of four how I decide to buy gifts for the grandchildren or a new stove for Christmas dinner because Sears doesn't honor there own policies... Tell me how you explain that to four children?? I would give you zero stars after this but it made me select one.
