Poor effort

These guys did not do the job they charged me for. They charged me for an allignment and never did it. I got my car home and the nuts and bolts that are needed to be adjusted were never touched. There were spider webs still on them. I took my car back and showed them and they still refused to do anything about it. Also they lubed my new ball joints and blew out the seals and left gobs of grease with out wiping them off. I think they did not expect me to know about my car and check these things. I will never use them again.

The first mechanics I've trusted.

I happened on Jerry's General Automotive last fall. Being a woman and not knowing much of anything that goes on under the hood I have a hesitancy of mechanics. Jerry's was very nice about taking the time to explain what was going on and what needed to be fixed on my truck and what didn't. I was very pleased with the work they did and have suggested to family and friends that they take their vehicles there when they need repairs or services. I'm very happy and will be loyal customer of theres for years to come.

Bait & Switch

I had my vehicle in for repair. $600 and two days later they said it was done. When I drove off the lot, I noticed that the main complaint had not been corrected. I called and they said to bring it back. I took it back and they called two days later to say that additional repairs for the original problem would be another $600. Two days later I called and was told my car wouldn't be ready until after the weekend. The next day they called to say that additional repairs to correct the original complaint would cost an additional $275. Final repair cost for a car that wouldn't idle properly...over $1500, without any major parts! This seems to me to be the classic bait and switch. Do unneccesary repairs, charge a bunch of money, then charge and charge again to fix the problem. Additionally, these guys have no idea of customer service. No communication except to ask for more money. No empathy for customer concerns. No appreciation for customer time and inconvenience. No ...‎ More »

No acknowledgement of customer dissatisfaction at unneccesary reparis or overcharges. These guys may have been around since 1976, but they must have done it by ripping off consumers every time. Stay away from Jerry's General Automotive Repair!!!!!!!!!!

So very pleased

Being stranded in Arlington with a vehicle that would not start and needing to be towed, God led us to this place. YEP, that's what I said, God led us to this place as an answer to prayer. My daughter and I were out of town, did not know anyone or anywhere to call for help. They towed the car, asked us if we wanted them to tow it to our hometown to have it fixed or fix it there. They told us what it would cost and that is what it cost. Their estimate was so reasonable that we even had them do something extra. There was no pressure or making us feel "ignorant" as some automotive repair places do to women. ***LADIES, I would recomment this place highly!!!!!!***
