This buffet used to be very good but it has since not been a good place to eat at. I blame the poor management. The selection is very weak, not as it once was. There are far fewer options than there used to be, and their Mongolian grill is poorly managed. There is never anyone attending. The food is not fresh anymore. On my most recent visit, the place was almost empty at a peak time. It's no wonder from looking at the food. Te vegetables looked old and several other foods looked like they had been there for hours. Not to mention flies. China Harbor just 5 minutes away on Cooper St is a much better option.
I have been several times and never had a bad staff experience! Our kiddos love this place because they never have to wait on a drink :) which is good if your talking about 5 thirsty kids at once. The food is great. You can get just about anything your looking for, again with 5 kids some want chicken nuggets one day and the other one wants chicken wingettes ..... and luckily they have both! The mongolian grill is good too :)
No matter your eating needs or wants, they are just about sure to have it.
We visited the place in our anniversary Jan 3 2010 and we were impressed with the waiters and waitresses (all dressed in white).
Everything is so clean and neat.
And then on Feb 13 we decided to take my parents and my dad loved it. He could not believe they have all this fresh food and Mongolian food at the same time.
That day we had to wait because it was close to Valentines after 6pm, however, it was worth the wait. The waiter played with our 8 month baby and we had a wonderful experience.
The ice cream is so good- it has a taste of Braums and I love it.

The salmon, prime rib, sushi, and a few others were all dried up. I'd like to say that it had just sat there since lunch but I really think that it was leftovers from previous days. If it had been fresh, I'm sure the food would have been quite good. It just wasn't went we went on Monday night.
I have travelled all over the US and this is by far the best buffet I have been to,
Hostess has a genuine smile, takes you to your table quickly, get's your drink order in, so it's waiting for you when you get done filling your plate.
Waiters and Waitresses are quick, and professional, the empty plate dissapears while you are filling another.
Kitchen staff, Some chinese food places suck all the time, some are good depending on what day you go or what time of day, but the consistancy here is a thing to be envied, all the dished are not just good, they are great, and they are always great, never old, never simply missing from the buffet, and having spent years in food service, I know what kind of amazing that feat is when you have a hundreds of items to order and keep fresh.
Anyone else like fresh prime rib? How about juicy steak, or maybe you just like good egg rolls, How about premium sushi prepared just as you like it, Want some eel with cucumber, crab and avacados? Coming right up. Mongolian barbique, with thick sliced meats, fresh veggies, and a competent grill master, there is so much more than you could hope to expect from a chinese buffet. My faves below.
Carve your own Prime Rib
Pick your own Steaks
Coconut shrimp with pineapple (oh MAN is that good)
Blue bunny icecream 6 or 8 flavors, I forget which, they just have the best ones
Fresh fruits, seasonal and perfectly ripe
Sushi (attended by one of the best around, a mexican guy who is FANTASTIC, you aren't allowed to tip... it makes me sad because this guy deserves a raise no matter how much they pay him)
Butterfly fried shrimp
Mashed potatos from scratch,
Good Pizza (!)
Piles of oysters
Great fortune cookies
Heavenly moist cakes (orange and coffee flavors)
The way that the restaraunt is put together is fantastic, everything had been thouroghly thought through, Tables in the centers and booths on the outside, plenty of room around the buffet, even on a sunday evening. The buffets are short enough to make it easy to get what you want without waiting, a seprate in and out door, no bumping into the masses on your way out, a comfy and adequate waiting area, (you wont be waiting long)
About $9.95 per person, plus drinks.
Never had a tummy ache from that place and I used to go every week, now ever two weeks (diet) top quality prime rib, medium/good quality steak, top quality everything else, and fresh as can be.
Today was our first visit to this buffet. We were pleasantly surprised how large the dining area was and the many buffet choices amazed us. Everything from sushi to delicious fruits, delectable assortment of dishes made with chicken, shrimp, beef, pork, fish, ....well, just anything you could possibly imagine. Some of the foods were a first time taste to us, and this restaurant got our five star approval all the way around. The staff was pleasant and friendly and we were quite comfortable with our entire visit. We look forward to returning and taking carloads of guests along soon. We were also very appreciative of the senior citizen discount that is offered on a routine basis. We would be very interested in knowing if this restaurant has a website available for email special newsletters, promotions and coupons. Please respond to this review as to email announcements from a website.
