If price gouging is illegal, then shouldn't supply hoarding also be??? The Sam's Clubs in Florida have put a 2 case limit per member, and have people lining up at 5am for a 7am open, in which they've been selling out within the first hour! I saw a truck arrive this evening around 7pm when I went to check on their supply, so I drove to the back and asked a driver if he had waters on his truck. He informed me that his truck didn't, however he did see where they had water, and showed me a back door to go in to. He stated that he had seen other cars pull up and get water; mind you I was in the loading dock area. I decided to go back inside the store and inquire with an associate; the gentlemen was pleasant and helpful and when I told him what the driver stated, he immediately rushed to the back to check. I followed! And as you can see from the photos, what I found! This particular associate had at least 10 cases on this cart. (Yet the limit is 2!!??) As I waited to ask the manager about getting some cases as well, my mother witnessed her unloading cases to another car then taking her own. Now I understand associates don't have the same chance to shop because they're working but we ALL have jobs to get to, and not everyone can wait in a 2hour long line at 7am, to maybe get water. Besides the LIMIT is 2!!! So I need Mr. Jonathan Van Pelt, the club manager, to let me know when to pull around back for my cases!
Purchased package of 4 beef tenderloin steaks @ $15.98 per lb. Found half pound FAT HIDDEN on underside of 4th steak. Sent on-line contact form to Sam's, NO RESPONSE. Sent email to Sam's CEO, NO RESPONSE. They apparently have no customer satisfaction policy, just "BUYER BEWARE POLICY"
went to this location and the floor manger was nasty and then the person who said they were the manger in charge just had an attitude when I was trying to talk to him. I then left a message for the store manger to get back with me and 2 week and still nada. They need to find a new job with the attitudes.
This store is always busy but the staff are very friendly and always eager to help. The store is clean and well stocked. The deli employees are very patient and efficient and the bakery staff are just awesome. In fact my only complaint is they put the french loaves in perforated bags so you have to ask for non-perforated bags so it doesn't get stale overnight. But getting the non-perforated bag is easy... all you have to do is ask. The perforated bag is a poor decision that I believe was made on the corporate level, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Anyway, I highly recommend this Publix. Full of friendly, hard working staff.
