My mother purchased a $100 gift card for my family from the Pizza Hut on 883 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703. I tried to use the card for the first time at the Pizza Hut on Rock Springs Road (close to where we live). The manager told me there was a zero balance on the card. I was shocked because this was a brand new card that had never been used before. I scratched the back of the gift card in the store, in order to get the pin number to use it. Thankfully, we had the receipt from the Pizza Hut on 883 Semoran Blvd proving that $100 should be on the gift card. The manager at Rock Springs Road was nice enough to give me a discount because she saw it was a brand new card and we had the receipt from the other location. To make a very long and frustrating story short, none of the employees (including the manager at the Pizza Hut on 883 E Semoran Blvd) helped us once we explained that we purchased this faulty card at their establishment. The employees and even the manager on duty were extremely rude. The cashier and manager refused to give my mom a refund (even though we had receipts to prove we bought the card there). My mom contacted Pizza Hut’s corporate office and we still have not received a refund. I do not recommend the Pizza Hut on 883 E Semoran Blvd to anyone. The service and management is lousy. I strongly encourage anyone looking to purchase a Pizza Hut gift card from the store on E Semoran to look elsewhere (they are thieves and will never receive my business again). To take this scathing review of the worst Pizza Hut on earth one step further, I must say that I am thoroughly disappointed at the response from Pizza Huts Corporate office. They honestly, have not done anything to make this situation right.
If you live In or west of Apopka, your selection for eating out is very limited, with that being said, there are less than a handful of pizza places in a 5 mile radius. I called in for delivery two different times. The first, the pizza tasted very heavily of salt . 4 months later one more order was placed and while on the phone of the newer older, told the supervisor about the last pizza having a huge amount of salt, their response was they put a garlic salt on it, but will limit the amount they put on this order. Ordered a sandwich (pretty good, albeit on the bland side), another pizza (once again too much salt, however much less than last order), Alfredo pasta (disgusting way over cooked) & although they gave this to us for free, the cheesy bread was very under cooked. No more eating here. The delivery driver although said hi and all, they didn't thank me for the tip or payment I gave to him.
I've never actually been in this restaurant but I order there frequently. The food is delicious, the portions are generous and the prices are exceptional! My favorites are the Cuban sandwich and the black beans and rice. Highly recommend!
Ordered once-delivery. pizza lukewarm and tasteless.
I have been eating at this particular Hungry Howies since I moved to Apopka four years ago.No More!I have seen bugs in their restaurant, they constantly get my order wrong, and do nothing to even discount to compensate for their screw ups.The staff is very friendly and I feel bad for them.
I just moved to the Apopka area. I have ordered from a couple of pizza places out here & my family happen to like Anthony's pizza. Actually second best to Pastovino's.... Pastovino's is #1 if you ask me! Anthony's pizza has bad customer service, when I call & ask for a delivery, Jackie answers the phone & says they already stopped delivering @ 9. Fine & dandie, B@$%&!! but when you ask me if I want to place an order for carry-out instead & I say no, THEN YOU HANG UP ON ME...lol.....BIG MISTAKE!!! Not sure if you are the owner's daughter or just have to work in a pizza parlor to pay your bills in your trailor somewhere, but I bought my house cash JACKIE & I have alot more money where that came from, so you can hang up on all the other customer's who call Anthony's pizza, because you just lost ALOT of money for Anthony's pizza, from my family. P.S. Here's a tip for you...I hope your going to college to be something in life, because working @ a pizza parlor is not going to get you anywhere....also take anger management classes before you start dealing with customer's BEOUTCH!!!!!!!!!!! TELL THAT TO YOUR BOSS!!!!!
