Must stop in!

My husband and I were in Antioch shopping and I was starving. Hesitated to go in but SO glad I did. The people were so nice and it smelled so good! I am not much of a sandwich person, but let me tell you, if your going to eat a Sandwich this is the place to get one. My goal now is to try their gumbo! I heard it was the best.. Just like new Orleans. I will let you know once I try it.

Overall
Best Sandwich in East County!

On our way fishing we stopped at the Big Kahuna at the corner of A Street and E 18th. We had a great lunch! It is very much like an old fashioned deli where meat is cut fresh daily and bread is super fresh and soft. i had a salami and cheddar on sourdough that was incredible. You could tell it was fresh sliced,( no gamey flavor) and real. My sanwich was packed with meat and felt like it weighed more than a pound. I had to take half with me! My husband had a pastrami with sauerkraut, swiss on rye. He said it was the best he has had in years! Really nice staff, fast service and great fresh real food. Plus they gave us each a complementary chocolate chip cookie. We will definetly make this a regular stop. Great Food.
