Today I was supposed to be having 4 services done before leaving on vacation. I had booked the packages and made this appointment at least 2 months ago. When I arrived I was told that I was a "no show" for my appointment which was an hour earlier and couldn't be helped.
Apparently they had called and left a message that my appointment was changed to earlier in the day - a message I never got and the new appointment was scheduled for while I was still at work. None of this was communicated when I called and asked to add an additional service onto this appointment or when the service was confirmed.
The receptionist told me that they had called and my appointment was changed, regardless of the fact that I never confirmed the time change and that I wouldn't be able to make the new appointment time anyways. She then told me that she couldn't fit me and couldn't help me see if any other locations had openings. I had to call myself without success.
I asked to speak with a manager. I was told one wasn't there, the receptionist wouldn't call one and instead my complaint was left on a customer complaint form and added to a pile from earlier in the day. I am guessing that this happened to more than just me today. She told me that one get in touch with me at their earliest convenience.
The one thing that the receptionist did offer was to help me waive the "no show" which was now on my account because of all of this. Of course it couldn't be done immediately, and she could only leave a note on my account. I am hoping that when someone does eventually get in touch with me about what happened earlier today this is fixed as well.
Save yourself a headache and go somewhere that communicates with their customers and honors scheduled appointments. I now have waxing packages, which were specifically purchase for this trip, that I can't use. It's a complete waste of time and money.
