I was calling to order a cab for an appointment 3 days ahead, when ask for a price for a longer cab drive, they just hang up on me, twice!
Yellow Cab Ann Arbor is awful. I was double charged, via my credit card multiple times while using their services. I was told by the customer service people to speak to billing about these issues. The lady in billing is always "away from her desk" or just never returns calls, so the double charges could never be resolved. The second time this happened I had to report them to my credit union for fraudulent charges and cancel my credit card! Their service is extremely slow; it would take them on average about 30-45 minutes to get to me after I placed a call for a cab. Not to mention some of the cab drivers are extremely mean and creepy! I actually had one of their drivers start complaining to me about how Yellow Cab should be charging me more for my rides-midway through our trip (tacky)! I now use Uber-Ann Arbor and their service is so much faster, cheaper, the drivers are always pleasant, there is never any issues with being over billed; there customer service is also great. Thank goodness we now have options!
Do not use this company. The cabs decide 'not to show up' sometimes. They are consistently 20-30 minutes late when they do, even pre-sheduled.Cabbies are subcontractors who are continually in debt to the company. They may skip picking you up if another customer is more convenient.Customer service has no management power and can only offer to re-hire a new cab, without guaranteeing the pickup.
This morning my car broke down and I needed a ride to the other side of town after work. Yellow Cab/Car quoted me a reasonable price up front, and they stuck to it.. Their driver called to confirm the ride and then showed up early in a clean, well-maintained vehicle. He was pleasant and very professional--after my stress-filled day, the ride was actually soothing! At my destination, he made sure I was all set before taking off. Yellow Car will be my first choice from now on, and I'll definitely recommend the service to friends and coworkers. I thought the service was outstanding, but the staff appeared to think it was just the way things were always done. Impressive.
This cab company sucks! I missed my bus to Pittsburgh because of them!!!! Called the cab and we waited indoor because it was freaking cold outside. They didn't come after 30mins and we called the company back but they said the driver left because he didnt see us when could have called!!! And the company sent another cab to pick us up but it was all too late! I'm going to claim my losses to them! This is unacceptable because I (and a friend) had to buy another ticket and I missed my bestfriend's birthday (that was supposed to be a surprise)!!!! Bummer! :(
