I have to praise the University Inn for another perfect weekend stay. I have been very pleased with my past stay at this hotel. I tried reserving a room a few weeks ago for this past weekend and they were unfortunately booked. I made a reservation at a nearby hotel and checked in with my son late Friday night. The place was utterly disgusting, I would have sooner slept in my car than that place. We decided to give a shot calling University Inn in hopes someone had canceled. We were ecstatic, someone did not show up for their weekend reservation with them so we were able to book the weekend with them. I remembered the kind woman at the front desk from our last stay. We slept so well, this place is so comfortable and in an excellent location. If you are looking for upscale accommodations, a breakfast buffet and pool, don't stay here and have complaints later. I personally HATE bedspreads and linens you know were not washed. I prefer white linens that you know are clean, which is what the University Inn uses. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable stay with a friendly staff, you won't be disappointed. I will always make University Inn a first choice of hotel stay in Ann Arbor for my family.

The University Inn is a small, older motel near U of Michigan. It is nothing fancy but it is clean, comfy beds and charming. The rooms are a bit dated - the bathrooms still have the vintage yellow tiles (which I love but for some might be a turn off) but the carpets are new and the rooms spacious. If you are looking for a non-chain, clean, solid place to stay, go to University Inn. This is my second stay because I love the location, price and the charm.
The room was big, had everything I needed, and everything worked. The people in the office were very friendly
Very nice and they took good care of us. I would stay again and recommend .
The room was comfortable and clean. Motel was close to where we wanted to be. Staff were very nice.
Best customer service I have ever experienced at a hotel. They were so nice, and they went out of their way to help me in any way they could. The hotel is in a neat little spot - there's a coffee place across the street and Trader Joe's around the corner.
This is a fine choice. Always clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff who are perpetually friendly .
It was clean and beds were comfortable. There were also kitchen facilities and great European style handle shower which I prefer. We had parking and several grocery stores near us as well as ATM and cafe. We went for seminar so this place served purpose.
It was exactly what we needed - a place to sleep! The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. It was a great location for our one night stay in Ann Arbor. The bed was soft and the blankets were perfect - the best bed and blankets we had our whole vacation (we stayed at 4 hotels).
Location is great - close to where I needed to be in town. No hair dryer in the bathroom though, and I missed hand/body lotion as I had forgotten to take my own. lotion. These were small "wrinkles" for a clean, quiet room with a comfortable bed which was all I needed
