My child had been going here, mostly part time, since May 2016. I was very very pleased actually, they worked with my schedule, they were patient when my baby cried when separated, managed to get her to nap when she doesn't nap well, she formed great rapport with her caregivers - would smile at them - and turn to look when we walked away.Imagine after all this, I call January 18th to give them her schedule for the next week I learn, without warning, they have given her spot away. I had spoken to the director around January 2nd and she mentioned nothing about this.I cannot even verbalize well how livid, disappointed, and disgusted I am with this place. I realize that it's about money in the end, and a full time child can push out part time. I realize that the business itself is run by a corporate office that doesn't need to care about children or families. Forget their business ethics, but morally, it is reprehensible that they found it acceptable to give away a child's spot without warning. Daycare is my last line of child care when family isn't available, and with only 4 days warning, I need to find a replacement. The limp "I'm sorries" from the other manager (am still waiting for the director to call me) or "you should have known" are ridiculous. Even if I had known the policy, the fact that kindercare has no requirements to notify parents is poor business. As I had to rationalize it with myself, no matter how angry I could righteously get at the staff and this company, it still won't solve my problem with no daycare. My child and my husband get insurance through me, so simply quitting without warning puts my whole family in upheaval. Please do not take your child here, unless it's full time, you will be unceremoniously booted if someone paying more comes along.
