Sonny is awful... he makes you feel as though you're bothering him for having him do his job which is take orders via phone and via walk ins... he has no excitement nor customer service skills... his attitude is always poor... if he does not want to be at work he should stay at home.. he's a complete buzz killer.. The place is really uptight. Japanese are known to be humble and polite but the Japanese staff at this place are obnoxious. The food is the most disappointing part. I ordered almost all their recommended dish of the day. Their freshness were just about average. The sushi rice was super cold, and not moist, and the portion was so tiny. Naomi or Totoro have way fresher fish and bigger portions than this uptight place.
I love the food, but every time I go back I wonder when will they finally scrape all the goo and sticky, dirty old grease off of the edges of their Hibachi grills where they cook people's food. I always watch in horror each peace of the food they flip around and hope it won't fly to far to the edge to touch the built-up yuckiness. If they have this right in front of their customers, I wonder what does their back kitchen look like. :/

Use to love this place. ordered Shrimp rice and vegetables as usual. received shrimp. no vegetables no rice. got up to get owner/ manager and he says oh you have shrimp. I told him I was suppose to have rice and vegetables as well he says so what do you want me to do? you want more vegetables,?. I said no I'll eat this as is but will not come back. every guest at my table was unhappy except for the couple who ordered double of everything and were eating the butter. guess they knew if you didn't order double their plates would look like mine.
