They are obnoxious and rude. You tell them you are on a fixed income and disabled and you have no way to get a job to pay them , they insist with such rudness. I am sorry I'm disabled but it's not like I asked for it. I wish I could pay them or have money for a second insurance , but I do not. Please leave me alone.

Completely RUDE and Unprofessional. They answer the phone without declaring who they are and when you ask who is calling "KAY" gets very rude and will not tell the companies name until she asked you a lot of questions. When your trying to explain or ask a question about something that is important "Kay" starts screaming at the top of her lungs and calling you names like your stupid. I think "KAY" and any of the others that treat people like crap need a new job.

Can't get an answer!

I have a bill for $217 on my credit report. I'm not disputing I owe it. I just want proof I owe it for my own records. In 2007 I had developed a rare auto-immune disease. I'm try to get them all paid off! I contacted the place of buisness and they said and I quote "We got a new billing company so we can't find your bill.

Completely Unprofessional. They answer the phone without declaring who they are. They have no intention at all in assisting you. They have a debt that does not belong to me, will not disclose any of the information about it to me. When attempting to dispute this they continue to report to the credit bureau that its my debt and saying that it is the bureaus responsibility if you share the same name as someone else.

RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL..I have to agree with all of the negative reviews I have seen posted here........The most rude and unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in my life... The rep was barking at me and informing me that he was going to ruin my credit..etc....I am a business owner with 25 employees and I use a collection agency...If my collection agency had such poor customer service skills they would be fired......As a side note the bill was sent to the collection agency in error....The bill was being sent to an incorrect address by a physicians office. Also the physicians office did not file the claim on insurance.




This is the most unprofessional organization I have ever dealt with. Chad needs to invest in some customer service webinars. I will not be paying my $20 balance to Merchants Credit.



This company is extremely rude

I have been unemployed for 2 years. I have not been able to pay any "non-essential" bills for those 2 years. A Mr. Chad Smith has been calling me and harrassing me and my 81 year old mother. He was crude and nasty and very cruel. He tried to make me believe that I was not paying my bill because I was too lazy to go get a job. They can rest assured that I will be paying this bill, but I will be paying it directly to the company that I owe it to. They can choose to send it back or whatever, but I will NOT pay anything to this (merchants) company whatsoever. I plan to call the place where I owe this bill and tell them exactly how these people handle their cases and if they want any payment out of me they will take it directly from me to them. Merchants will not get a dime out of me. Recommendation.....GET RID OF CHAD SMITH



Unprofessional and Rude

This business is a collection agency. They never identify themselves on voice mail which they state is federal policy. However when you call in, they don't identify themselves as a place of business at all. I was insulted, talked down to and barked at like a child when I spoke with these people to make arrangements.

I was told that I was a deadbeat and was just trying to get out of paying my bills.

Don't judge a person if you don't know what is happening in their life. Hospitalizations and job losses have put us in a tough spot. But this lady wanted to hear nothing about that.

I offered to make smaller payments and she refused. Told me she was going to contact the client and tell them I was unwilling to pay. Then the could decide what further action to take. I asked what actions could be taken and was informed that she couldn't tell me.

It was like arguing with an uneducated backwoods waitress who just happened to answer the phone that day. I have contacted the company they represent and have made arrangements directly through them.

If you get a message saying "this is Kay. I need you to call me back when you get this. thanks"....question the legitimacy of that business. They apparently didn't spend their money on training valuable or competent employees.
