Founder of Schrader & Murphy Insurance. He and Tom Murphy operated five insurance agencies in Northern California. Michael moved to Spokane, WA in 1990 where he opened three insurance agencies in Eastern Washington and purchased an interest in Finder’s Insurance of Pasco, WA. Michael sold his interest in Schrader & Murphy Insurance and Finders Insurance to his business partner in the late nineties and began Spectrum Auto Insurance Network, an Internet insurance agency, which he moved to Vancouver, WA in 2004. Spectrum Insurance was sold to Schrader & Murphy Insurance in May, 2007 so that he could focus his efforts on LIA Direct. Michael served as a county planning commissioner in Butte County, CA and Spokane County, WA. He also served on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in Oroville, CA and Spokane Valley, WA. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) of Washington/Alaska.
