I met Dr. James Zielinski while browsing through row of vendors at one of the shows held at Sullivan Arena here in Anchorage. Through our conversation, I came to know that he was in the chiropractic field and obviously a caring, knowledgeable and dedicated professional. His explanations broke down a complex field of practice into terms I could easily and clearly understand. Dr; Zielinski’s clinic was having a promotional special which he invited me to. After years of suffering in horribly debilitating back and neck pain, I finally decided to take a step forward and really do something about it. Shortly after the show, I took a deep breath and walked into his office. I did not realize at the time that this would be the best “steps forward” that I would ever take. To tell you the truth, it did not take only a session or two to “cure” my pain. There was a lifetime of problems to be addressed and so much work to be done. Dr. Zielinski took such excellent care of me from the word “go”. He patiently listened and learned about my overall health before administering his healing physical manipulations and therapy. After only having worked on me for a few weeks, the results were amazing! My pain was completely gone and I felt so much better. But here is the really good kicker. Because of Dr. Zielinski’s wonderful treatments, my body has become painlessly-fluid and much more active than ever before. I have truly surprised myself by the new things I have tried: rock climbing, high-elevation hiking, monofining, compound bow-shooting, to name a few. Just pick something and I have probably done it or will be doing it soon. Another side benefit of my increasing activity has been a weight loss, which I have kept off now for three years. But remember, none of the above-mentioned changes could have been made without the most important first step, addressing my pain through chiropractic care. If you go to see Dr. Zielinski for relief and healing and do precisely as he advises, I promise you will find that relief from pain and the changes through healing that you seek and in good measure. You deserve the most complete healing, the deepest and the most positive and productive change, and nothing will stop you from finding it in Dr. Zielinski’s office.

The most critical time in life to have an optimum performing nervous system is when the body is growing and developing. The Insight Subluxation Station ™ has specific settings for infants and children. This technology helps me to identify these problems before they become symptomatic. Professional athletes like Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong and Dan O’Brian three time world champion and Olympic decathlon gold medallist, depend on their bodies and realize the important role their spine plays in allowing them to function at peak performance. I am very proud to be bringing the same level of technology that professional and world class athletes are using to my patients. Because having a subluxation free spine and nervous system is an essential component of optimum health, my vision and mission is to serve the community by promoting optimum wellness and health. First off this is a nice facility and the front staff is really friendly, Matt likes to be tickled .. Dr. Bob is friendly and out going and so is Dr. Josh. Dr. Bob likes to crack backs and Dr. Josh likes to use what i call the thumper..I wished i had known this before starting my care. On Wednesday Oct. 19 2016 Dr. Bob set my ribs in place by pushing on my back ... on Thursday he cracked my back as i laid on my side and i heard a huge crack and pain and i asked him if he broke my rib and he stated with a smile on his face, No he did not.. from then on i had pain every day it got worse, i came in Friday did my exercise and they adjusted me again...the weekend helped the pain from not being as bad, but on Monday i went in for exercise and adjusted me again i went home and i could not sleep, so much pain on my left side that it brought me to tear's, on Tuesday Oct. 25 2016 i went to get xray's to see if indeed he did break a rib and nothing.. i had a massage scheduled and was hoping that might help the pain but when i came in i didn't want to be touched and Dr. Bob took me into the xray room and took another xray and then asked me if i wanted my spin fixed i told him i don't know i have such intense pain and started to cry.. I have a high threshold to pain so for me to cry it really hurt... He knew i wanted to fix it but i felt pressured i told him i was here for a massage and he stated, do the massage and no adjusting..so i was ready to leave and was told i need adjusting by Dr. Josh when i asked about the pain he stated that some times the cartilage will pull away and that is what im feeling, when i got up it was so bad... when i was checking out it was just burning... I had a hard time getting in my car and when i got home i had a hard time getting out. It took me 6 days for the pain to be minimal. Thankfully it's not Cartilage issue...Dr. Bob need's to remember bed side manners. I was NOT on a groupon, my insurance paid for every thing.
I went to another Chiropractor to have two ribs put back in place and then i decided since my spine bent i would have them straighten me, the first day was fine then second day he cracked me so hard i had a sharp pain just under my bra line... I asked him if he broke my rib and he stated no, the pain got worse and every time i went in they would readjust me, only to cause more pain by the end of the weekend last week i was really sore, i went in on Monday and told them i was sore but they stated i need to readjust again, but Tuesday i was in tears i even had my dr. do an xray to make sure i didn't have a broken rib.. i went in for a massage and was told i had to readjust, i just couldn't do it but felt bullied into it.. i couldn't get back into my car i couldn't get out of my car.. my husband tried to help and hit my elbow and i was crying again.. i have a high thresh hold to pain but this was intense.. the next day i cancelled the rest of my appointments with them and i was eating Aleve like it was candy.. I was referred to this Dr. by my neighbor she stated they do NOT crack... they got me in on Sat. the 29th, i was really nervous. He worked my right side and just a little on left, i went back today and he did it again and my pain is almost gone and i feel a ton better. He actually lines you up...he has a table that you stand on then it lowers. He checks my alignment with my legs and feet and my head and my hands in different ways.. he uses a thumper is what i call it lol It's not painful.
My family and I have been seeing Dr. Gary and Dr. Jesse for 3 years now. At first I was skeptical about his tactics, but EVERYTHING he's ever done for us has worked. He treats the cause rather than the symptoms. At 1 yr old, my son fell off the couch and later that night starting puking. The regular doc. at Providence childrens' clinic said it was a stomach virus and to ride it out. After another 24hrs of throwing up I had Dr. Gary adjust him and he IMMEDIATELY felt 100% better and had an appetite. When I first started going, I had headaches that made me noxious, now my headaches are gone! My two year old had not developed any speech. The regular doc. suggested speech therapy and that everything seemed normal. Dr. Webb tested her nutrition levels and gave us a supplement for her. Within ONE WEEK she picked up 10 new words and has been gaining vocabulary consistently. My lower back used to have pain every time I would lay down flat, and my legs would ache. That pain is gone now as well. I have too many stories to post. I just wish that I knew about the Webbs a long time ago! (Also, I once tried a different chiropractor - thinking they were all the same. The are NOT all the same.)
Dr. Jones is the last of the “old style physicians” left. He’s the most selfless and caring doctor I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. I work at the Pioneer Home in Anchorage and have watched Dr. Jones interact with our patients for years. One day he came over, in his own vehicle, picked up an elderly woman and drove her over to his clinic for a chest X-Ray, then drove her back. This is absolutely unheard of in this day and age but it saved the poor woman a couple of hours of waiting for the transport bus, at a time when she was feeling so poorly. Dr. Jones always takes the extra time to listen to all the concerns of both the patients and their families, and the staff here at the Pioneer Home. It is wonderful knowing that the patients I care for are in his caring hands. He is a real gem.
Every time I get compliments on my smile I always say that it is because of my dentist at Alaska Smiles! Whenever I come to the office for a routine cleaning I feel special and LOVE the staff! Dr. Nielsen is a very smart, caring man who is really great at what he does! The office is very updated with nice massage chairs and TV monitors above every chair. Last time I was there, they showed me my coffee stains on my teeth right on the monitors with their intraoral cameras! Although I did have cavities, I am very much looking forward to going back to get them filled! Dr. Nielsen is without a doubt the number 1 Dentist choice in Alaska!!!!! If you want a beautiful white smile, go to Alaska Smiles!
I’m Alicia and I came to Dr. Omeads office. I found it on a Google search, and basically I am very skeptical going to any chiropractors because I respect my body and I don’t want to let just anyone mess with my spine. I’ve been really bloated, I have sinus problems, and when I came here this morning I couldn’t move my neck. After a very long and thorough examination I feel better. I’m smiling! And my nose feels better, my posture feels better, I’m actually a lot more aware of my neck now too which I’ve been holding, I thought I had good posture so I’m learning to heal myself and I’m going to come back and I hope you have a good session too.
Along with being professional and a master of her field, Atty. Compton is sensitive to her clients needs. I have been going through a rough spot with my husband and his family trying their level best to keep my son away from me. Long story short, Atty. Compton not only helped me through my situation but provided results that were a lot more than I ever expected. She was always one step ahead and took care of what I required even without me saying so. She is practical , strong and compassionate - all qualities one requires in a lawyer. I am grateful to her and would recommend her to anyone without a moments hesitation.
I always recommend Anchorage Spinal Care to my friends. I let them know that I've received the BEST care there. I came to see Dr. Trekell back in 2001 when I was very nervous about chiropractic care. He immediately made me feel at ease with the whole exam. Ever since then I've been a happy returning customer. I've also had excellent care from Dr. Ketz. He is very easy to talk to and immediately addresses any areas of pain I have. They even offer massage therapy! Thank you for quality care!!
The legal profession is vast, with each attorney having his or her specialties. Here are some of the most common attorneys individuals seek out when they require legal aid:
A criminal defense lawyer is probably the attorney the average person imagines. Criminal attorneys are the men and women who defend individuals accused of a crime. The lawyer may work pro bono - for the public good - so the accused is certain to have representation, even if he or she cannot afford an attorney.
Criminal lawyers are experts in the criminal justice system. They help their clients decide how to plead when first charged by the police and guide them through trial procedures. Defense lawyers must use every bit of their knowledge and resources to get their clients the fairest results from criminal proceedings.
If you are a small business owner or the head of a larger corporation, you may come into contact with a business lawyer. Many big companies keep a legal staff on payroll to deal with the daily operations of running and maintaining a large enterprise. Business lawyers may have more specific specialties like copyright law, product liability and mergers and acquisitions.
Business attorneys may focus their practices on certain industries. There are entertainment lawyers to guide artists through royalties and media contracts, while hospitals employ malpractice attorneys to protect doctors from aggressive litigation.
When you work for a company, you may find yourself in need of an employment lawyer - especially if the relationship between you and your employer sours. An employment attorney prevents people from losing their jobs due to unfair reasons. Workers' compensation lawyers help maintain safe employment conditions and ensure workers receive fair compensation after workplace injury or discrimination.
A personal finance attorney can protect and manage your investments and securities. You may use a finance lawyer to help you prepare your taxes, but you might be better off working with an accountant. A tax attorney is more commonly contacted after a business or individual runs into trouble with the IRS or state regulators.
Real Estate Lawyer
Your family may keep a lawyer on retainer to guide you through the major expenses that come up in life. When buying a home, you could work with a real estate lawyer to make sure you get the best deal and won't get taken advantage of by tricky mortgage agreements or unfair landlords. An estate attorney can help you plan for the worst by creating a will and preparing your finances for after your death.
A bankruptcy lawyer is essential to help you resolve your financial difficulties when they start to spin out of control. Certain attorneys help create strategies to bring you out of debt and speak to your creditors. A lawyer can advise you on which type of bankruptcy you should file for.
If you are suing someone or being sued, you need a civil lawyer. Civil attorneys - and criminal lawyers - are the legal representatives who argue on your behalf in a courtroom setting. Civil lawyers may represent you on matters of business, finance or a wide variety of other specialized needs.
One of the most common types of civil attorneys is a personal injury lawyer. When you're hurt by an outside party and you would like to hold them legally responsible, a personal injury attorney conducts litigation and negotiates settlements to compensate for your pain and suffering. Sometimes many wronged people will join together with a single civil lawyer or law office to form a class action lawsuit.
Most people will turn to a lawyer during a divorce to navigate the emotionally charged legal proceedings. A divorce attorney can assist in determining grounds for separation, division of property and custody of children.
Family attorneys deal with much more personal matters. If you're getting married, a family lawyer can help you prepare a prenuptial agreement or other family planning paperwork such as adoption or inheritance documents.
To ensure you find a competent attorney who won't abuse your trust or drain your finances, you have to make the proper inquiries. There are several questions you should ask, but the majority will fall under three general topics:
Training and Experience Questions
One of the best ways to determine quality is to examine an attorney's history. When you first step into a lawyer's office, you should check for the appropriate certifications and diplomas. You have to ask how long he or she has practiced law and request information that demonstrates the practice's success. Look for precise details such as percentage of cases settled out of court.
Once you inquire about the broad details of their legal career, you should ask questions about their experience that pertains to your specific issue. You should ask how many similar cases they have handled and if they have special skills or training that applies specifically to your needs. Lawyers can't mention clients by name, but you should ask for basic details about identical past cases.
You need to ask about every possible fee that will come up when working with an attorney. You should request a list of all costs in advance so you won't be surprised by additional expenses like overhead. Also determine exactly when you will start being billed. You want to inspect paperwork carefully. If the attorney charges you for his or her experience, you need to make sure he or she will perform tasks personally and not hand it off to an assistant.
Find out if the attorney has a flat fee or charges by the hour. Many civil lawyers work on contingency. Whatever the payment plan, make inquiries about how the lawyer plans to provide service for your money and what you can do if you start to feel unsatisfied with his or her performance.
Lawyer/Client Relationship Questions
When you hire a lawyer, you're agreeing to work with someone over a certain period of time. You need to ask questions about how the attorney will communicate with you and what responsibilities you hold in the relationship. The attorney should let you know the best channel for quick communication and you need to inform him or her when you want updates.
You should also ask questions to get to know the attorney as an individual in order to ensure this is a person you can trust. Ask about their legal philosophy and how he or she views the lawyer/client relationship. Great questions to start off with are ones that will make your life easier, such as how to keep fees down or what daily disruptions you should expect from a long legal battle. The more forthcoming the lawyer appears to be with individual needs, the better.
You may keep a lawyer on retainer or you could turn to an attorney during specific situations. Here are some common reasons people begin seeking legal representation or advice:
You Know Your Limitations
If you sign documents and you come across a word you don't recognize, you need assistance. You may need a third party to help you navigate important employment or real estate paperwork. It's essential you fully understand the terms of any legally binding documentation or activity you become a part of. If you are not an expert in a given field, you'll want to hire an attorney who is.
A lawyer may find legal implications or opportunities you might miss. If you find yourself in a civil or criminal matter, a proper attorney ensures you don't receive a harsh punishment for a small mistake.
You're Facing an Important Event/Decision
When making decisions critical to your financial stability or personal life, you may want a lawyer with expertise in your situation to make sure you do everything you can to arrive at the proper resolution. This is especially true when you become involved in a criminal case and your freedom is on the line.
It's not just a matter of legal knowledge; lawyer's have access to numerous resources you do not. They have staff ready to work around the clock and experts in a variety of fields to give your important issues the attention they deserve.
You Can't Be Impartial
During times when personal matters intersect with legal proceedings, you may need to have an advocate to prevent your emotions from getting in the way of level-headed thinking. For example, divorce lawyers can mediate a heated argument and help both partners get on with their lives.
Emotional investment could be subtle. You may want to have a lawyer look over an investment opportunity that looks too good to be true or investigate the merits of a possible civil suit when you feel wronged.
You're Out of Options
Many people turn to lawyers when they are in trouble. If you've been accused of a crime or are in a terrible financial situation, you can find an attorney who will work with what you have available to assist you as you deal with your problems.
Personal injury lawyers find solutions for people who can no longer work under their own power and bankruptcy attorneys prevent people from giving in to debt. If you find yourself in a situation where you can't find a solution, a lawyer may be able to offer the counsel you need.
When it comes time to choose a lawyer, you should start by searching close to home. While you probably don't want the conflict of interest that comes from being represented by a family member, friends and loved ones can recommend lawyers who served them well in the past. If you do have attorneys you are familiar with, ask who they believe would be best for you.
After going through personal references - especially from individuals who had similar needs - you should broaden your search through public information resources. You can call your area's attorney referral service or check legal organizations like Martindale-Hubbell. There are other resources available online. You should check websites for client reviews and other third-party forms of approval.
When you build a list of possible candidates, perform a background check on each one. See if you can find information on their history and success record. Once you find a possible lawyer, you should call to arrange a consultation so you can ask your important questions in person.
By performing the necessary research and taking every available precaution, you can narrow your search to the attorney most suited to your needs.
