Being busy , making money , comes with unique challenges.
It's problem most businesses Would love to have.
Mooses has become too busy for us to enjoy eating there.
Ordered food to go.
Sat on the corner bar stool waiting for our to go order.
Yes, I was standing next to my sitting wife , on the end near their walkway.
Walking And working space is limited there.
A server waking buy spilled a bowl of marinara sauce.
I didn't bump him and he didn't bump into me. Don't know how it happened.
I got "hit" with marinara shrapnel"
No big deal.
Off work. Clothes don't need to be clean for a week.
I joked with the bartender that I " got hit"
" you were in the way"
Are you fucking kidding me?
Piss poor way to talk to a big tipper.
Or ANY customer in my opinion.
I left feeling unappreciated
"We have enough business to be rude to people"
Was an attitude taking hold
But the experience left a sour note.
3 star pizza,
The crusts are more soggy and greasy , than crisp and light . Way undercooked in my opinion. I think they're rushing the cooking to keep up with the demand.
They've been coasting on reputation.
your customers are
" in the way "
Pissed me the f--k off!

I normally hate pizza unless it's from Moose's Tooth. They have a nice assortment of pies from the meat lover, gourmet wanna be to the vegetarian. In addition to awesome pizzas and tasty salads, they offer great local brewed beer. What more can you ask for? Some say it's too slow, but if you see how many people go there, you'll understand why. New Yorkers think they know pizza, but Alaskans know they know good pizza.

In Alaska, they forget that there's supposed to be more Tomato sauce than cheese and the best pizza is made with the best olive oil and the best mozzerella.
This place, however, takes poor taste to the extreme.
You barely see any red areas on your dried-out dough who's under-side is covered in garlic salt.
Even with SPECIFIC requests, they fail.
Ask for a pie wih extra sauce, ricotta cheese and basil and they serve you a pie
completely covered with ricota,
topped with sliced up,
UNCOOKED basil leaves.
While you're waiting at the bar
where they have absolutely
no foreign or domestic beers
to complement their wannabe cool ""micro-brews"",
you can get a dose of their rudeness.
Now that smartass bartender has no idea who I am or if I'd be inclined to smack him or wait for him after he leaves work.
I won't be wasting my hard earned cash in that silly spot again.........
In fact, I may just take my retirement bucks and open a REAL pizza joint in Anchorage.............
Three Mexicans with a Chinese cook could take their business away overnight.
Be smart, DiGiorno is even better than this garbage!

bad and stingy customer service. id recommend ordering out/ they have amazing pizza. i love the pepperoni whle wheat pizza.(believe me, its goooooood) and make sure to order the mooses ranch salad. and make sure to add a side of buffalo chicken breast on top. its soooooooooo addictive

I used to really enjoy the mooses tooth, but can't say the same is true anymore. I've been there probably a dozen times in the last two years, and *each time* my order has been messed up at least once. I can handle getting an incorrectly made pizza and sending it back once, but if it comes back wrong again (and AGAIN, in two cases), there is really no excuse. One of my more memorable experiences was the three hour long dinner. My pizza was wrong three times. And then they overcharged me for it and were really rude when I called them out on it.

This use to be a place I occassionally enjoyed visiting but the last couple visits weren't as good as the one's prior. The staff is excellent; very cheerful and welcoming. But, our family ordered a couple pizzas for dinner and got a very thin soggy crust on more then one occassion. Not very appetizing. It may have beem just our luck but it will deffinately not be a place we will visit for quite awhile. Not a good experience. By the way- they are always busy. Is it the beer???

Head to Moose's Tooth is you want to go where the locals go. The beer is great and the pizza isn't half bad, either. Good atmosphere for families, but tends to get crowded (which makes it a great place to people-watch, incidentally). Recommended: Hard Apple Ale.

My family usually tries to eat there when my cousin flys in from hawaii. His family is vegetarian and this is one of the few places that serve something vegetarian that is good and sill affordable. Alot of the time we have to wait there a long time. The kids get anxious along with the kids' great grandma. WE usually end up going to there there sister store The Bear tooth on the movie side for pizza. It is quiter so it does not upset our other cousin who cannot be in places that are loud. The mooses tooth is very loud. Dont go there if your clasterphobic. It is not set up by any means for handicapp people. Grandma with her can almost gets stepped on where ever she goes i could never see someone get a wheel chair around there. Oh My husband tells me the mens bathroon has no baby changing station.
If you dont mind the really long wait and being crammed into a space to eat this is the place to go.

This place gets so busy, they added a tent next to the building for customer overflow. Get there early. In the summer with the long nights (sun is still up at 11PM) they are going strong at midnight. People in anchorage eat late in the summer beacause it is still light out at midnight. They have since expanded the building to accomodate the extra buiness.

I've been here multiple times and always loved the pizza. You have great options for anything you could want. The vegetarian options are wonderful and appreciated in a town like Anchorage where quality vegetarian food is rare.
The White Pizza is great for an alternative to a standard tomato sauce pizza with lots of veggies. It's got sun dried tomatoe, artichoke hearts, and feta cheese and no tomato sauce.
Probably the best part about the place is the beer, they're always brewing new stuff and it's always great.
The only downside is that it's so great it's always busy.

I've had the same waitress more than once, they're usually busy but she's always been rude. Rolling her eyes and even snapped 'just a minute' when it took over 5 minutes to get her attention when she forgot to bring us our side salad. But the long wait and rude, unattentive staff is worth if for the pizza. Not great for large parties, but great for up to 4.

Most Anchoragites agree this is the place for well-made creative pizza. All the standards and many ""nouveau"" offerings - something for everyone. Well prepared and a lot of variety.
The salads are great (try the chicken oriental) and the Hungarian mushroom soup is a local favorite.
And - they are licensed brewpub. If you like beer, you'll like it here! Due to a quirk in Alaska law, their brewery is now off-premises, but the beer (and home-brewed soft drinks) are worth the trip.
Almost always crowded - everyone from families to business people to the college crowd call Moose's Tooth theirs.
