        I used to work for Lowes in Kansas. Sometimes I would have to go to Home Depot, OMG what a difference. The store is dark, feels dusty, hand written signs, and not great help. I realize it is luck of the draw on employees, but I was taught well. I then moved to Alaska, I hate the Home Depot in Kenai. No caring help, all the carts are outside, even in winter. You can have a bad experience anywhere, but overall I really like Lowes. I got better deals on clearance items.

        Lowes has been our "go-to store" on our new build. However the staff could stand some improvement. On 1/21/13 we went to purchase all my doors, all the lights fixtures, and pick up the kitchen cabinets I had ordered for our new house. The woman in lights did not understand us (english language) and most all staff seemed to ignore our requests. Everywhere we looked there were "red shirt" Lowe's employees with seemingly nothing to do. After spending in excess of $12,000, I thought we would receive a modicum of help from store employees. Very disappointing.

        The employee at customer service was a blessing! He didn't just tell me where the tape was that would save me money, but brought me to it. Very friendly and helpful. Thanks!

        Not very smart help, you will be likely to be given the wrong thing more than once. Ask them if they are sure. They say yea just so you will leave.
