Used Discount Mechanical in January for this leak, they came out, told us the problem was an overflow valve, tightened it, left and we paid. House was vacant the next couple months as its a rental property and when we had tenants in June who reported the same leak again. Discount came out and assessed, didnt fix it, then began calling us for payment. I have asked repetitively why I am being billed for the same problem they didnt fix the first time and the answer I am given is "its been over 6 months". Today I asked to speak to the owner, he refused to speak to me and instead had his employee tell me if I didnt pay today they were going to send it to collections - however i have yet to receive an invoice at all, they have false information in my file saying they came out and did a follow up after the January service and the problem was fixed, when they did not and it was not, and they are now changing me twice for a problem they have never fixed...and sending to collections apparently.
I normally use Kleb's Mechanical and have never had a bad experience with them. However, my son referred me to a friend of his to help out his friends business.
The plumber did arrive the first time to put some chemicals into the boiler to break up the calcium deposits in it that were making the boiler produce loud noises that literally would keep me awake at night. He also installed chemicals to help breakup any remaining deposits. In addition I had him clean the boiler for the annual service.
The problem arose when he was supposed to return to flush out the chemicals. I had scheduled an appointment for the following week. He was a no-show, no phone calls, nothing. I contacted the company and spoke with the owner. He put me in contact with the scheduler who scheduled me for an appointment two weeks later. Again, a no-show, no phone calls, nothing. She tried to schedule me again but after two consecutive no-shows I am completed frustrated by this business. I cannot afford to continue taking time off work or other activities and not have these guys show up.
I realize it is the Christmas season but business is business. Obviously someone did not get the message the first time around. It's time for them to be looking for a new job!
