I don't believe the positive at all!!! *I believe the company has probably posted it!Shocking experience! We had problems with both Campers and they were rattly, dirty and old! Tyres were bald we had to change them on Kenai peninsula. They wouldn't refund us our deposit but we refused to leave until t was given back to us! There were lots of people waiting and they had the same problems. The staff are rude and the Russian owner nasty. One couple had been back 5 times with problems with the RV!

horrible company
We have rented a class C motorhome at Clippership RV rental from august 22 to september 5, 2015- As specified in the contract: “ A $500 deposit is required for each reservation. Your $500 deposit will be refunded to you within 7-10 business days after the return of the motorhome.”
When we returned the motorhome the inspection of RV by manager was OK and the manager said that the ClippershipRV would refund us after about 1 week.
However, we have received only 235 USD on the credit card (in date 09-19-2015) instead of 500 USD of deposit. I have e-mailed them asking explanations and Clippership answered that there was a smoke fee of 250 USD and a propane charge of 15 dollars. However We have NEVER SMOKED INSIDE THE RV !!! . Furthermore, the employer at check-out inspected the vehicle with us and everything they checked was fine.
In the last email Clippership wrote: “I do not know whether you smoked in the vehicle or not but it smelled like cigarettes when I was double checking the vehicle”.
I outline that the RV at check-in was very dirty and smelling and also the dump hose was dirty and broken. In fact I have booked a new dump hose. Moreover the staff was very rude and arrogant; their explanations about vehicle functioning were unclear and contradictory.
Additionally, and very important, we have paid the following additional insurance:
“Low Damage Waiver (LDW): $30 per day on Class C and $40 per day on Class A motor homes — $250 deductible will cover parking lot and off public road accidents, with a $0 deductible for windshield damage.” However Clippership at check-in has applied a CDW coverage (20 USD/day)- without notificate us the change and without refund us.
I highly suggest NOT to rent RV here. Do not let your Alaska trip spoiled with this grabber company.

We just returned from Alaska after 16 days. Before going I read all reviews I could find. The good and bad on all companies. I settled on Clippership Rentals. I could not have been more pleased with everything. We are average working people so we can't afford to be ripped off. And EVERY thing was just as they said. The shuttle to and from our hotel also the RV was ready at the planned pick up time. No hassles at all. I waited to write the review to see if my deposit was returned on time. And yes to was. We are one happy couple with our experience with Clippership. 5star all the way.

I rented a motorhome on June 17, 2014. After I paid, I asked if I could add an extra night and was told that it wasn't booked so it would be fine. I drove about five miles down the road to a store. Upon leaving the store the Check Engine light and the Oil light both came on so I returned to the office. No one was there, I called every number they gave me and no one answered the phone. My daughter and I had to spend the night in their parking lot. I had to cancel my plans for the next day, a fishing trip that I had already paid $500 for, and lost my payment for my fishing trip. The next day I was told that the lights come on and everything was fine. I asked for two things, first, a refund of the night my eleven year old daughter and I had to stay in the parking lot and secondly, I asked to cancel the extra day I had added. I was told that it was no problem because, according to their 'board' I was due to return the vehicle on Saturday and not Sunday so the extra night had not been added. Also, I was told that the night we spent in the parking lot would be refunded because I could not drive the vehicle with the engine and oil lights on before having it checked out. The $500 I was out for fishing was obviously not refundable. The company is refusing to refund these nights to me, they only will refund my deposit and nothing more. Prior to the trip, I had to leave a $500 deposit with them via my credit card and they will only refund that amount. I asked repeatedly and was told each time that I need not worry because two nights would be refunded to me.

Alaska was amazing but Clippership is horrible. We had arranged for a pickup at 6 am in the morning at Seaward as we were arriving by HA cruise but the vehicle did not reach there by 5 pm ! Their employee Lee with whom we had arranged for a pick up committed that the vehicle would be there at 6 and even gave us her personal contact no. just in case there was some problem but apparently this was just in her brain and she had not informed anybody about the required drop off. I had paid $444 for the dropoff but this is the kind of service they offer and on top of it she lied to us telling us that there was an unexpected mechanical failure with the vehicle but in reality nobody knew about the drop off and we were told this by the technician who came to drop of the vehicle. Secondly she sent us the incomplete documents for the rental and she conveniently forgot to send us document that specified the time of drop off. Thirdly when reported to manager she very shamelessly denied the fact that I had ever made such a request and that she had ever committed it to us. Even the owner is incredible mean and arrogant, the Lady looks down upon customers and talks rashly to them the son atleast listens to the customer. The worst thing was the RV the gave us had a compartment door completely damaged but while checking out the vehicle at Seaward we had missid it because it was so late and we (6 people) were so frustrated and mad; and later during the time of drop off Clippership slapped the blame on me, when I had 100% not been the cause for it because it was not a small scratch or something that I could have stayed unaware of it, it was a pretty significant thing. Clippership kept the entire $500 deposit for repair of it, can you believe it. Long story short, don't rent with them they SUCK !

My husband and I just returned...

My husband and I just returned from a week long vacation in Alaska. I could not be any more pleased with our rental experience. The staff was warm, friendly, and accommodating. They promptly picked us up at the airport upon our arrival. Once at the business the staff helped us get all of our paperwork taken care of, inspect the vehicle, and give us a step by step guide to our home away from home. No problems the entire trip, no waiting (not quite sure what other people were talking about), and I will recommend this business to everyone I know.

Clippership Rental

We rented a motorhome from Clippership, May 14th. We arrived early and they kindly put our luggage in the office while we went to breakfast. The staff was very helpful and had us on our way right on time. We drove 2,330 miles in the two weeks had no problems. They gave us a larger unit than we booked (at no extra charge). The staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful with suggestions for grocery purchases, gas, etc. When we return to Alaska, rest assured we WILL rent from Clippership.

Great RV rental

We rented an RV from Clippership for 10 days. The RV was all ready for us when we arrived (late flight but RV was all hooked up). No problems with the RV the entire time except for a glitch with the DVD player which was no biggie! Staff was very friendly. Will definetly recommend this company to anyone renting an RV in Anchorage.

Looking for Reputible RV Rental

There are three reviews for Clippership RV Rental in Anchorage. The first is so glowingly positive that it is obivously written by the business owners to off-set the other two very negative customer responses to their experiences with the business and its owners. This certainly is making us look elsewhere for another RV provider. Some business just do not get the fact that the customer is always important to their sucess. Especially in these tought econimic times.

Friendly staff, Good Product and Great Prices.

I live in Alaska and have been renting motorhomes from Clippership for the last 5 years. It has been a very pleasant experience every time. The people are always friendly, the product is good, and the prices are extremely reasonable. I always recommend Clippership to my friends and plan on renting from Clippership Motorhomes next time I am in need of a motorhome.
