I just started going to Anchorage Dental Group after looking for a new dentist in Anchorage. The last place I went too started giving me problems. My favorite hygienists left and so I knew I wanted to find a new place. Anchorage Dental Group was referred to me by a good friend who said Dr. Hyer was a great dentist. I've been going here for about 12 months now and have had a great experience. I feel like they have my best interest and aren't looking to get money on as many services as possible. I felt like that at other practices.

First off this is a nice facility and the front staff is really friendly, Matt likes to be tickled .. Dr. Bob is friendly and out going and so is Dr. Josh. Dr. Bob likes to crack backs and Dr. Josh likes to use what i call the thumper..I wished i had known this before starting my care.

On Wednesday Oct. 19 2016 Dr. Bob set my ribs in place by pushing on my back ... on Thursday he cracked my back as i laid on my side and i heard a huge crack and pain and i asked him if he broke my rib and he stated with a smile on his face, No he did not.. from then on i had pain every day it got worse, i came in Friday did my exercise and they adjusted me again...the weekend helped the pain from not being as bad, but on Monday i went in for exercise and adjusted me again i went home and i could not sleep, so much pain on my left side that it brought me to tear's, on Tuesday Oct. 25 2016 i went to get xray's to see if indeed he did break a rib and nothing.. i had a massage scheduled and was hoping that might help the pain but when i came in i didn't want to be touched and Dr. Bob took me into the xray room and took another xray and then asked me if i wanted my spin fixed i told him i don't know i have such intense pain and started to cry.. I have a high threshold to pain so for me to cry it really hurt... He knew i wanted to fix it but i felt pressured i told him i was here for a massage and he stated, do the massage and no adjusting..so i was ready to leave and was told i need adjusting by Dr. Josh when i asked about the pain he stated that some times the cartilage will pull away and that is what im feeling, when i got up it was so bad... when i was checking out it was just burning... I had a hard time getting in my car and when i got home i had a hard time getting out. It took me 6 days for the pain to be minimal. Thankfully it's not Cartilage issue...Dr. Bob need's to remember bed side manners. I was NOT on a groupon, my insurance paid for every thing.

Fantastic experience! the Doctors & staff really care about my health and wellbeing. My back pain is gone and I feel like I have more energy. I would highly recommend this group!
