We used Impressions Catering for our wedding with approx 100 people in June 2014. Our wedding was at a house north of Palmer, so Paul and his team had access to a kitchen. They provided all service, plates, cutlery, linens. But all I can say is Wow!!. The fillet mignon was to die for, and the chicken was moist and beautiful. All the hors d'oeuvres esp the spicy tuna nachos were amazing. Everyone commented on the quality of the food. The servers were also very professional and blended seamlessly into the background. I would say (as did most) it was without doubt the best wedding food anyone had ever had, and one of my favourite meals in Alaska. My wife was at first hesitant to find a caterer so far from an urban center, but afterwards thought it added such class to the whole affair and was so pleased we had gone for the sit down meal. All in all, Paul and his team were so professional, and most important of all, the food was superb. Thank you for helping us make our special day so tasty for our guests.
My husband and I were visiting from San Francisco and after a week of gorging on lumberjack sized breakfasts and deep fried seafood platters, we wer…
I would give 5 stars if it weren't for the grouchy Korean lady (possible owner/cashier/server). It's like the saying goes, you can either have good price, good food, good service, but you can't have all 3. 1) Food is the bomb. Had the tempura combo (I think comes with shrimp & veggie tempura-tempura sauce nice & not too much ginger in it, teriyaki chicken-teriyaki sauce was perfectly balanced, maybe a Cali-roll/I don't remember. Alby had the chicken katsu, god that katsu sauce was good. Home-made kimchee is killer. Fair portion size. 2) Is it the cheapest eats on the block? No, but I think the price is pretty fair considering. $45 for 2 adults & a toddler. 3) Casual/need not fuss about clothing. 4) Service: Lol. You just order at the counter & she'll just bring it out to you with your initial drinks. That's about the extent of that. But hey, more of a coworkers eat at lunch/no fuss thing, so who cares if u try to conversate with staff & they completely ignore you
I work in the Midtown area and I have been eating lunch at Tokyo Garden almost every day for over a year. The reason is simple: There is no other place in town where you can have a full meal for $15.00. The buffet bar is always hot and steamy. They have chicken wings and popular Chinese style chickens like Kungpao chicken, sesame chicken, chicken teriyaki. If you like pork, they have pork ribs, teriyaki pork and the authentic pork feet in savory sauce. The Mongolian beef is awesome. For sea food lovers, YOU GOT TO TRY THE SPICY SQUID. The fresh fruit bar is always fresh. Right next is Tokyo Garden's exclusive cream cake that is not overly sweet like cakes from local or national chains. They have half a dozen kinds of sushi. Heck, if you go to a sushi only restaurant, the cost of one piece of sushi is $3. Here, for $15, you can eat all sushi you want plus access to the whole buffet bar.
Last night we had our company Christmas party catered by Wild Fork Catering and they made it a huge success! This is the fourth major event we've had them cater and we simply cannot imagine using any other catering service. The food was fantastic, from appetizers to dessert. The Prime Rib melts in your mouth and the Chicken Dijon became a company favorite! If you like Au gratin Potatoes these will be the best you ever have! Jeremy and his team were professional, friendly and accommodating. As the person responsible for putting this all together, what I like most is that they do a great job of finding out what I want and then making it happen.
This place is absolutely amazing when it comes to sushi! They have a number of delicious choices so each time you go back you can always try something new. They also release specials from time to time to spice things up. The service is great, after going a couple of times they recognized my fiance and I by face and name and we're at the point now where we seat ourselves. Really friendly and warm atmosphere and great food to top it all off. This is a must try for sushi lovers!
Thank you to all my friends at Dami. You definitely made my visit to Anchorage much more enjoyable than it might have otherwise been. Your food was wonderful; but much more importantly the friendliness of your staff and the wonderful atmosphere that you have made my visit to Alaska very memorable indeed. Thank you all. I will not hesitate to recommend your restaurant to anyone who cares to know.
The shrimp tempura is awesome! Our california roll came to us asking to be eatin first. The kid went to town on the childs menu teryaki chicken, and asked for more! We tryed all the sushi places in town, this place is far better then the others. Its nice to know that the sushi chef has 23 years under his belt making not only the food taste awesome, but also a piece of art.
Casual dining, most wait staff are attentive. the steaks are usually tender, they have all sorts of foods from pizza to sea food. Foods are grilled, fried, (boiled/steamed?),baked, and fresh. Definitely try the honey butter on rolls or a sweet potato!
My husband and I wanted some place new and inviting we found it here! The people were wonderful from the owners Welcome to service we received. It is a small family owned comfort nook that we now love. A great place for our special dates.
This restaurant is better than Benihana's any day of the week. If you haven't been, you have to go. Just remember you get what you pay for. It may be a little pricey, but totally worth it!
