So much fun & challenging enough to make you really think! I would suggest bringing more than 4 people so that you have a better chance on solving the puzzle.
New managment as of December 2016. new managers are slum lords. be prepared for a fight for anything. informed them probably 50 times that the hot water would only work for about 5 minutes and they never fixed it. i dealt with it for 6 months and then left. contractors showed up one day and busted my bathroom wall out and left a huge sheetrock/insulation mess in my apartment and on my clean clothes. Thieves as well. i had thought they were stealing so i left $97.56 in change on the table when i knew they were coming and i came back and there was only $50.00 left. i promptly moved out. no deposit back, in fact they wont even answer my phone calls. like i said, new management for the last 6 months is slum lords. The old property managers were removed (i had no problem with them) and now the owners, Rubie and Victor, are taking care of everything. Victor is extremely aggressive and even attempted to strike me on 1 occasion when i entered their office asking for them to take care of the mold problem in the walls of my unit that was exposed by their contractor that never cleaned up his mess.also, 1 time on a saturday morning i was in the kitchen butt naked making breakfast and they just walked right in. then the guy proceeded to tell me that they need to come in the unit and do work. i just stood there staring at him blankly with my junk hanging down until he left. it took like 30 seconds. they barged into my unit without telling me probably 15 times.You have been warned.
The owner is a wonderful lady that is full of energy and knows her stuff. High quality jewelry that is beautiful. Lots of good Irish pieces.
Bedbugs and cockroach problems. Will not make repairs. Management who bought place also owns the Mush Inn. Leaks are also present. Dirty mattresses all over complex. Manager gossips and "quits" every other day. One shooting and one stabbing here so far. Manager talks openly about tenants and talks about tenants business, he feels he has the right to yell at tenants and yells at them almost daily. Management tries to run this place with putting as little money in repairs as possible. Thomas has started trying to charge tenants for repairs. Even with a plumbing issue, Thomas, tried to get money for repairs out of tenant. Has bed bug machine, but it does not work! Charges for the electricity for bed bug machine. Royal Suites has bed bugs and cockroaches to this day, it is truly a bad place. Some tenents have been waiting for working ovens for months, with still, no oven or stove to cook with. They truly are running this place for profit for themselves with absolutely no concern for tenants welfare. It is one of the worst apartment complexes in Anchorage. One person put it best, "Royal Suites is not royal and it is not sweet".First picture is a window they"fixed" Second a curtain taken, brown are bedbug's the white are their eggs.
I moved into tall timbers apt rapidly for a one year lease, slowly I started noticing the holes in the pad of the used carpet,the damaged blinds, the poor paint job, broken stove,broken electrical socket,and then I discovered the 1/4 inch layer of black mold underneath my toilet,and then my eyes opened to the dangers of that spreading through the moldy caulking lines through the bathroom,and instantly worried for my 11 mo old baby,and wife as homemaker.I told the managerand he said fill out the paperwork and spit at my feet and walked away. Thats when I started to notice the Asian lady walking by me and taking pictures of me in my van doing paperwork for my company. Then the head manager called me and said are you happy?, of course I'm wasn't happy due to my family getting sick from the mold probably? So I explained the repairs that needed to happen,and she simply said well lets just end your contract now with no fees and you leave. Yup wow I thought. So then I saw aanother maintenance man who claims he is the true owner and I asked if he could do these repairs? He said yes and then blamed my wife for the mold in the caulk lines.(mold grows in there if it is not mold proof caulking) anyways I guess you can't fix stupid haha. So anyways I was evicted going into the winter.and the lack of respect they show ,not classy.Wayne wade,Charles maintenance man suppose to be owner, Asian pictures lady who I here is owner, more info and names will come later, think twice before doing business here even if your never late on rent.
Absolutely the worst company to rent from in Alaska. Save yourself a headache and find another place to live. Management is abusive and extremely manipulative. They change managers constantly. Plus they will lie and over charge you every chance that they get. They have been taken to court to many times to count...STAY AWAY from Weidner!!!This sight is making me give Weidner a star rating....I do not support even giving Weidner one star.
