I drive a Mercedes GLK 350 2010 which was serviced B1 schedule Dec 2016. I've never had any electronic issues and just needed my auto start reinitialized since it stopped working after the battery was replaced in the car about 6 months ago.I initially took my car to Mercedes about 2 weeks ago and they recommended "Safe and Sound" for reinitailizing my car start. I drove my car to "Safe and Sound" this morning for my 9:15 appointment and about an hour later they drove my car back to the front of the store and said my radio wouldn't shut off and none of the buttons were working. I stepped inside my vehicle and was greeted by my radio display shutting on/off intermittently. I pressed the heated seats and the radio shut off. Also, audible static could be heard coming from the radio when pressing the heated seats or other buttons. As a computer technician I immediately thought that a surge or fault must have been introduced into the system. Even when I would manually shut off the vehicle the radio would flash on/off thus continuously draining my battery. The technician did mention that they had removed the battery terminal to see if that would reinitialize my auto start though.I immediately contacted Mercedes and the "Master Mechanic" said he never heard of the heated seats being able to shut off the radios since electronically their separate systems.After researching on line I found an article that stated by connecting the wrong battery cable to positive/negative can fry computer components within the vehicle. I believe that something like this definitely occurred but will find out the extent of the damage after Mercedes looks at my car 27 Sep 2017.I can't believe the manager of "Safe and Sound" had the audacity to say my radio was flashing in/out before they even touched it. My vehicle is meticulously maintained and all electronics were working perfectly prior "Safe and Sound" trying to reinitialize my remote start.Already filed complaint with the BBB.
If you deal with this shop and Mike the owner after reading this then you deserve the RIP-OFF you are about to get!!!! Was in Anchorage visiting my son in the military for his birthday. I told him I would purchase a PA system for his truck. Paid for a system RIP-OFF MIKE showed us. HE then installed a different much cheaper system. Told RIP-OFF MIKE about it and he pretty much told us too bad! RIP-OFF MIKE got our money and we got screwed. IF you like doing business with a company who has no respect for our men and woman serving our country and rips them off then have at it!! Mike even met with my kid and talked about how this PA system will be the same the MP's have in there vehicles on his base. SHAME ON YOU RIP-OFF MIKE!! And anybody who does business with you!! IT's not the money, you could have charged me more for the same product we wanted and I would have paid because I am proud of my SON and the sacrifice he is making for this country and even JERKS like you!!
I've been using Safe And sound for years. They always taking great care of me and friends.I highly recommended them top notch instalation and customer service.
Dismal. Endless issues with auto start. Apparently one of the reasons it won't work was due to the faulty oxygen sensor (which DOESN'T affect it!). Fast forward to a rebuilt engine put in (but not by them) & then told that broke the auto start. Phoney
The best place for auto starts, 2 in a row now, they wouldn't sell me one remote start system because it was troublesome and recommended another, Thanks you Safe and sound again and again. Kenny

They did a great job and very efficient. It is difficult to speak to someone on the phone. I left messages and had to keep calling them to make sure they got my message. Once I did speak to someone, they were very professional.
The guy handling my purchase and appointment was helpful and professional. He was cool about me swishing a 2 way remote start to just the one way. Definitely will be back later to upgrade to a 2 way
