We stayed in a Parlor Suite for 7 nights. Overall we were pleased with our stay and Desert Inn will remain on our list of hotels to price check for future Disneyland visits. Parking is $9 extra per night (plus taxes) and parking is VERY limited for the number of rooms. There is a valet option if there are no spaces. Cribs are an additional $10 per night plus taxes. The cribs are not "Standard" size cribs (smaller than your crib at home, but slightly bigger than a pack n play). You may want to bring a breathable bumper if you have a baby who likes to put their feet through the slats. The Parlor Suite has a front room with the pullout couch, small table, and TV with stand and 3 drawers, plus an open storage area, there is also a window to the front walkway. There is an actual DOOR (so many other hotels have a sliding door w/ translucent glass that lets the light into the extra room which sucks when you're trying to let the kids sleep and there is light streaming into their room from the parent room!) There is also a fan that pulls the air from the parent room into the front room which is extra awesome because we could leave the door closed and not worry about the temp in the front room getting crazy. The front room does have room for the crib when the sofa bed is pulled out, but it blocks the door, so don't expect to be able to leave the hotel room if planning to use the sofa bed pullout PLUS the crib in the front room. The back room had 2 Queen beds, a TV w/ stand and 3 drawers, a desk, and an armoir with the fridge on the bottom, the microwave on top, and then a shelf above the microwave. The bathroom has the sink in the room with the toilet/shower separate. Water pressure was standard hotel quality (poor). There is also a window in this part of the hotel room (which had a view of Disneyland Fireworks!). The beds were NOT comfortable, we ended up splitting up and each taking a separate bed because we were both tossing & turning so much with the uncomfortable beds. The room was pretty quiet, either we didn't have loud neighbors or the room was pretty well sound proofed. We were on the 5th floor (top floor) so no one above us probably helped as well. Decor was older but clean and fine. There was not quite enough drawer space to unpack everyone completely, but i know most people don't stay for an entire week. The "closet" is an open space with a bench...I like having a closed off closet to throw the daily dirty clothes in and close the door but it wasn't a huge deal lacking a true closet.I Mentioned above that our room had an awesome view of the fireworks at Disneyland. There is also a rooftop viewing area for the Fireworks. We never made it up there during Fireworks so I don't know if they also piped in the music like over at the Grand Legacy's Rooftop lounge. One annoying thing was people going up there to smoke and then making the elevator walkway stink like marijuana &/or cigarette smoke. Also, room keys don't open the door to the rooftop deck, so I had to go down to the front desk to get them to send someone up to open the door when we found it closed and wanted to check it out.The complimentary continental breakfast is nothing to sing about. Hard Boiled Eggs, Instant Oatmeal, toast, cereal, muffins, danishes, juice, milk. And every other day they had plain bagels. There are only 2 elevators at the hotel. The one at the front only services floors 1-3, the one halfway down the hotel services floors 1-5. At Check-in (around 4pm) there were no luggage racks to be found so that made dragging our kids & bags up to the room cumbersome. Later on I did notice they have about 5 or 6 luggage racks so we just missed out on them (but were able to use the luggage racks on check out day, thankfully!)Location for this hotel canNOT be beat, one of the 3 closest hotels to the transportation hub at Disneyland ... which is why we chose this hotel in the first place (we wanted a close hotel, with a 2 room "suite").

Descent hotel Near Disneyland without the expense of the Disneyland resort. Fine place to rest your head.
Really cheap but very dirty the maid would come in when weren't there. The beds were nicely made but the beds were stained and lots of graffiti in the dressers and handles were missing and the channels to the tv were cloudy. The rooms has a smell like if they never get aired out. Especially notmade for children!! My son had cut his fingers in a glass piece that the maids didnt see or didn't check it was there and we couldn't stop itching. WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE!!
This hotel is HORRIBLE! The hotel is backed up to the highway and the sound is SO loud during the night. It kept me up for most of the night. The next morning I found blood on the sheets that the manager Dana told me was chocolate. We didn t have food in the room so either way the sheets were NOT cleaned in-between guests. GROSS! I wish I could stand at the door and warn guests about staying at this hotel. The next morning I had bug bites on the back of my calf. Please DO NOT STAY here! Take your kids to a better place!
This has been by far the worst hotel I have stayed in. From the front end women being extremely rude and high tempered towards her employees, to the sanitation of the beds. The bed sheets are sheer disgust, they are old and stained, the owner should really consider investing some of the money he gets from renting out rooms back into the rooms and provide them with new and unstained sheets. I would highly recommend everyone to stay as far as possible from this hotel.-Disappointed Customer
The rooms were really nice. Very quiet and friendly when we needed service. My wife and myself would refer this motel to anyone that was visiting Brea. High speed internet and alot of T.V. channels too.
they will not let you check in if there is more than just a 2 person family , any child over 13 is considered an adult so as long as your kids are under that age you not allowed to stay there , the maid service is once a week if that and they ALLOW you 1 roll of toilet paper per week. . they do have a food bank and a hot dinner for guests , but that is an outside source that does that for the guests not the motel owners , AND IF YOU WANT INTERNET SERVICE , YOU PAY ALOT AND GET TO USE IT ONCE IN AWHILE ,, IF THAT
So, my family and I stayed here for a few days this weekend in August 2009 to go to Disneyland, we purposefully went to the restaurant next door the night before and bought some individually packaged cakes and cups of milk so that the next day when we returned to the room they would be nicely waiting our arrival in the refrigerator to refresh us from a long day at the park. When we returned to the room we found that the beds had been made, same sheets of course, (we know that because there were small spots on the pillow cases and sheets) and all of our luggage had been untouched including a very expensive laptop computer., What had been touched and removed was everything in the refrigerator! All this negative review over some cake and milk, of course I did warn the hotel staff prior to this post. Everyone out there needs to know of the low integrity the staff has there. When I asked the front desk about the cake and milk I was told that the Maid had been there for 4 to 5 years and has never done such a thing, not validating my complaint over $30.00 in food is hideous! The front desk basically told me that the Maid would have never done it to begin with, I will let you decide what happened because I'm the one taking the time to make this review and that should tell you who is telling the truth!
