I agree with the other 1 star ...

I agree with the other 1 star comment, if I could give negative stars I would! I also was concerned when I met these teachers but decided to see how things went... they went downhill. The orientation was held on Friday evening of Labor Day weekend and they were and hour and a half late and this ended up being the case for every field trip & other parties that they had. The first month went well, my daughter was coming home with projects she did in class, a homework bin was sent home as well but as time went on everything just stopped. When I would ask my daughter about what she learned today she could never answer me and would just say they played. When asked about why there was no homework I was also told that their computer broke. There was supposed to be a parent teacher meeting after they did what they called child assessments in October and there was never anything said/done with that. They also stated that they never send papers for the parents home with the kids and for the parents to refer to their website & blog but they were never timely in updating that info and at times posted the wrong info. As a working mother I had to make arrangements for my child to attend school and their last minute cancellations or tardiness always put me in a predicament. I also received no notification of them closing and was actually called by another parent and asked if I knew what was going on. Through talking to friends of mine in the AF community that have lived here for years I also found out that the owner's mother had owned a tanning business about 10-15 years ago and shut her doors without notice as well and no one was ever notified or refunded. There was a notice posted on the door of Learning Links that said parents could come claim their childs belongings on Jan. 20 and get a refund if they paid for January. We'll see if they hold up to that but from what I've experienced with them it's highly unlikely!

They don't even deserve 1 star...

They don't even deserve 1 star. My child started school there in September. I was nervous from the beginning of sending my child there, but everyone said that my child would be just fine, & that next year when my child was Pre-K I would for sure move them to a better school, since the beginning seemed okay, my concerns somewhat disappeared . The beginning they seemed to have been doing school work, but as the weeks went on, all my child talked about was who ever got in trouble, and all the toys that they played with. Homework and worksheets stopped coming home as well. Reason to that was something about a broken computer. I would also ask about what songs or numbers/letters they did at school, my child would say nothing about actual work but toys, toys, toys. Field trips were a joke as well, they were very poorly organized and they were always canceled and moved to a different day. As of January, they closed their doors, no noticed at all, not even an email saying that they were closing. I wish I would have known a head of time, instead we show up, and I had an upset child that grown to loving going there to play with the millions of toys that was there. And that's exactly what my child says they miss the most about Preschool "I want to go to school, please please I want to play with the toys there." The teacher's seem to be caught up with their own life drama, and would always be talking about it at school as well. I'm really concerned that something illegal happened, since there was no notice or any type of contact on that they were even closing. If it wasn't illegal they would have put out at least an email noticed. I've personally been there 3 times to pick my child up when the American Fork Police was there, and was told that it was an issue with the next door lady. But now I'm really questioning that. I'm sure they will be re-opening up their doors when they get around whatever issue it was, as we were told in Dec. that next year they were moving to Orem. I guess I'm just a really concerned parent on what really happened while my child was in their care.
