- Nuclear MedicineTo accomplish these goals the doctors decided to incorporate a non invasive laboratory within the clinic. In September of 1993, the lab became a reality and offers a wide range of diagnostic studies. Patients can now come to the office for most of their testing to avoid the paperwork and congestion associated with area hospitals where testing was previously conducted. In addition to this ease of access to care, the patients have become more educated about their course of care and have shown great trust in our cardiologists. We now have cardiologists that specialize in most areas, including critical care, cardiac catheterization, interventional procedures, electrophysiology, ablations, pacing, nuclear medicine, echocardiography, and more. As Amarillo Heart Group has grown, so has the staff of specialized cardiologists.

- Emergency CareCardiologists are "on call" outside of regular office hours for emergencies. It is not possible for a cardiologist to make medical decisions without a physical examination and your medical record. All care and instructions of your cardiologist must be recorded in your medical record. Accordingly, a cardiologist will not make treatment decisions without your medical record or based upon an undocumented telephone conversation. If you have an emergency, you should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Amarillo Heart Group is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
