I'm rating this business without any stars because I took my Granddaughter in who was diagnosed with Strep and the business has sent me a bill for over $4000. My granddaughter and I were the only patients in their office. The office visit was drawn out to over an hour with no obvious reason. They drew blood which was an unnecessary procedure and prescribed an antibiotic. Sheesh, I knew she had strep just by listening to her complaints on the way over from Tascosa. And the bill only had totals on it for the amount of money owed and no line items on what the charges are.
Don't waste your time. The receptionists are extremely rude and do nothing but argue with you. The doctor I saw is a complete airhead. When they tell you they'll call you with your results, they don't. You call and they say they've already called and talked to you about everything. If I could, I'd give them ZERO STARS. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place.
They're very good at what they do.
I was treated very well. Had to wait about an hour but Lobby was full. Everyone from the reception area to treatment were professional and kind.
My son fractured his forearm while at summer football camp this year. We were referred to Amarillo Bone & Joint and I am so thankful that we were!!The office is fairly new. The waiting room is very spacious with ceiling to floor windows (which I love), 2-3 flat screen T.V's one that is playing the news and the other usually has cartoons on for the younger patients. The office staff has always been courteous and professional. The medical staff has always been excellent!!! We were not seen by the Dr. we were seen by his PA Mindy. She was AMAZING!!! From the very beginning Mindy was SO warm, comforting, and had excellent bedside manner. We expected to be in the cast for a month. We are going on week 7 and we are 100% on board with that. Mindy is a mother and views her patients as if they were her own when she treats them. She went over the X-Rays in detail all 3 times and answered my questions as well as my 9 year old sons questions. I highly recommend this practice!!
Took my husband in due to severe lower back pain. Within a few minutes of checking in they had him back in an exam room. We seen the nurse practitioner within minutes of the intake. After she listened to his complaints she order a urinary test and xray of his kidneys to check for stones. Shortly after she was back in with the results. Wrote Rx for antibiotics and pain. We were in and out in just over an hour. The staff was professional from the check in desk to the nurse practitioner to the dismissal desk. The cost was within reason for the test that were performed. We will be back if we ever need medical treatment again.
My wife went in there for chest pains and was denied treatment due to balnce of $109 owed back in 2012. The lady up front told her she needed to go somewhere else possibly the hospital.
The wait was pretty long but overall the experience was very welcoming and the staff were extremely caring.
I love Amarillo Urgent Care! Dr Khan and his staff are always so kind and caring. I get in and out within an hour. They are very professional. Would highly recommend Amarillo Urgent Care.
RX called in 18 hours AFTER my Sunday appt and it was only AFTER I CALLED TO ASK WTHECK. Terrible almost hostile person took took me back AND saw me, BUT NONE OF THAT REALLY MATTERS XCEPT THE FACT I WENT ON WEEKEND FOR IMMEDIATE CARE AND THE RX WAS OVER 18 HOURS IN GETTING SENT IN AND IT WAS ONLY AFTER I CALLED TO 'REMIND' THEM. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PLACE AND I'M A 20 YEAR FMC PATIENT WITH ONE OF THEIR PRIMARY CARES.
