We hired Catered Affairs for our wedding. Based on the year leading up to our wedding we'd give a 4 star review. We were pleased with the line of communication between Paula & ourselves. There were times when we would have to contact her more than once to get a response but usually we didn't have to. She was very familiar with the venue we used & was able to give good advice about table setup. The food on the wedding day was delicious & raved about by all of our guests.However, if we have to give a review based on the actual wedding day service it would be less than one star. We were very disappointed. We had high expectations because of the service we already received. Up until the day of the wedding they had been involved & a truly full service caterer. The day of, & in the days after we got many complaints from our guests about the catering staff. Everyone said how much they loved the food but that was where the praise stopped. The staff was unprofessional & never seemed like they knew what they were doing. They snatched up glasses and plates from guests the second they set them down or looked away, before the guests even a had chance to finish a drink or cookies. Something we brought up with Paula the day before the wedding was having drinks at the head table for the bridal party when they arrived. We did not want the bridal party missing out on the first dance because they were busy getting their drinks. Our mothers said they could get them ready but Paula insisted that was something our mothers should not have to worry about and that if I sent her a list of drinks she would have them ready when we arrived. I e-mailed Paula a list of all the drinks but when we arrived at the reception there were no drinks at the head table like promised. This was something we could have easily had another family member prepare but we were told we wouldn't have to, and what we were trying to prevent from happening happened anyway. Paula also insisted she never received the email then pulled it up on her tablet right in from of my mother. There were not enough salad dressings given to some of the tables and guests reported that they were treated very rudely when they asked for more. This was surprising, especially because the reason they were asking was some of the containers placed at the tables were empty. And like at all receptions, we had guests that didn't show so there should've been spare.After we cut our one slice, the rest of the cake was never cut nor were cupcakes served to our guests. We went home with two full tiers of cake and over 200 cupcakes. We were informed after the fact that they don't serve cupcakes to guests & they were never going to cut the cake because there were cupcakes. However, this was never discussed with my husband or myself at any point before or during the reception. Like I said, prior to the wedding this would've easily been a 4 star review. But after the wedding day, the day when we needed superior service and help, we definitely did not get the service we paid for & we were severely disappointed. After the incredibly rude response we received when we brought our concerns to Paula's attention & because of the drastic drop in service on such a monumental day we felt the service was not even worth 1 star. I will never recommend Catered Affairs to anyone because I would never want to put anyone, especially a bride and groom celebrating the happiest day of their lives, in a position of such severe disappointment.
Laid back and fun. I've been going to this great bowling alley since I can remember and it's one of a kind. There's also 2 bars connected to this alley, 1 up and 1 down, you'll love it.
Snappy Chef catered my wedding this past weekend, they were wonderful to work with! Yvonne helped me with many aspects of the wedding planning and my guests had nothing but great things to say about the food! Snappy Chef staff were polite and helpful.
