This is a property that has some age but is well maintained. We had a poolside room which was great fun for everyone! There are three pools available but we utilized the main pool with a slide and hot tub. The room had a small patio that looked out on to the pool/courtyard area that came in handy for relaxing while watching others in our party enjoyed the water. The room itself was clean and spacious and again, well maintained. The Inn also provided transportation to and from Adventureland park (that saved the parking fee and hassle) which was great! The Inn provided a flat-screen television and refrigerator as well as shampoo and conditioner. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ate at the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet and it was typical buffet fare. The breakfast buffet was especially good with lots of variety. Neither buffet was included in with the room.

Hotel is nothing fancy, but it was clean and reasonably priced. Also, only a short distance from the State Fair Grounds. Kids enjoyed the pools and the lifeguards were nice. I would use the term waterpark loosely, but pools are much bigger than average hotel pools and had small slides. There are two different pool areas, one for young kids and one for a little older kids. The pool areas are short distance apart, not connected. We had a pool side room and could walk right out to the pool area. We liked this, but if you want to go to bed early, it is loud and pool is open until 10:30 pm. Overall, a fun time. Would stay here again.

I took my daughter-in-law and my 2 grandsons and we had a wonderful time. The staff was extremely friendly, rooms were clean and the shuttle to Adventureland was a great asset. The 2 days we were there, they checked the pool often for chlorine levels. Will stay here again. This hotel is a kid friendly hotel. Even found the buffet they had at night was extremely good and the prices were the same as I've seen at other hotels. Breakfast buffet was also affordable.

I stayed at this hotel while in Des Moines on business. It was a great stay. The hotel was updated recently, the staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and the food was excellent. I did not get to enjoy the pools (there were 3 of them) but will come back and enjoy them when I return! It was an excellent value!

We had a pretty good stay and a great time being together as a family!

The goods...awesome location! We loved the trolley to adventureland. Employees we encountered were all so friendly! As a family of six, its hard to find a hotel that allows six so we loved the junior family suite option! Room was spacious and looked out into the pool area. We enjoyed sitting on our patio having a snack. The pool areas were great. Our littlest adored the kiddie area and must have done the frog slide 150 times! The older kids liked the other courtyard with a slide for them. Hot tubs were great too. Everthing was very clean.

We recently took our boys (4 and 6yrs old) to Adventureland Inn for a little "tropical fun" since the Iowa winter seems to be hanging on extra long this year. The kids, my husband, and I enjoyed our stay very much! I booked online, check-in was smooth and easy, we especially like that they have a wristband policy to keep the pool population to hotel guests only, we ordered pizza from the restaurant (very good), the room was spacious and clean, pool areas were perfect for the ages of our boys, and we really had a great time. Checkout was smooth and easy and the hotel staff was very friendly. Overall we had a fantastic stay and our boys are already asking to go back!

The receptionists, room, restaurant, and pools were all great. The kids had a great time and we even enjoyed ourselves. There is enough fun to fill the weekend and keep the kids going. You feel right at home with the friendly staff and management. Will go again!

This place is convenient. Very close and kids love riding the troll to the park. Rooms are clean.

We went to Adventureland Inn for my son's 8th birthday party. When we decided on this hotel we actually drove to area hotels he was interested in to take a look at the different places with our own eyes. We decided Adventureland's hotel was the best in the area for our birthday party. 2 big pool areas, 2 arcades, a restaurant, nice rooms, and a great staff. We were very pleased with everything.

We had a great stay at Adventureland Inn. The staff was great to work with and everyone that we met was very friendly. Our room was clean and well kept during our entire stay. We order take-out from their onsite restaurant to take to our rooms. Food and service were both good. We will definitely stay at this location again.

Had a very fun time even though i came in the off season the staff was very proffesional and helpful i never felt like i was a bother like at alot of other hotels will definatly be back during the winter to swim in the pools and sit at the swim up bar and enjoy a beer or 2!!!

Several family members stayed here recently for a family reunion. Although the property is older it is evident the staff and ownership do a very good job at keeping things up. Staff were friendly and did their best to welcome guests and attend to issues. The pools were clean and warm and the swim up bar a great place for the adults to gather. Rooms were clean and updated. Food from the onsite restaurant was also good. There is a gift shop on site you can purchase snacks and even swim suits. Prices were reasonable. There is also 2 game rooms on the property. Several restaurants, a casino and convenience stores within walking distance are also a plus. We would defiantly stay again.

The rooms were clean & well maintained, the pool area was freshly painted and every person I came across was friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay again!

The rooms are big, roomy and very clean. The kids have been enjoying the 3 pools they have.

Have been to Adventureland Inn many times. It is VERY conveniently located right next to Adventureland Park. Originally it had only one indoor pool but has expanded to two indoor pools. One with a swim up bar. One of the pools also has a kiddie section(shallow water and toys). Rooms are comfortable and kept clean. The restaurant is good. Many years ago it was not the highlight of the hotel but it has continually gotten better. There is a trolley that runs to and from the hotel to the park that is VERY convenient. I gave this hotel a 4 out 5. It gets the nod for being so convenient to the park but the restaurant kept it from getting a 5.
