Well I used to have perfect credit, always had a brand new finance car and things were great. I lost my job in 2007 and struggled for months to make end meet. Eventually it came down to a place to live with my kids or my car....so obviously the car had to go. Reposession killed my credit. So now I've yet to be able to rebuild my credit and probably won't unless i file bankruptcy. Anyhow...I needed a newer vehicle that is dependable and can handle all 4 of my children...so Laser Finance was the only option and I was just grateful that they are around. Yes the interest is high but unforunately...it is what it is. Thats is the price you pay for having bad credit..regardless of the reason why your credit is bad. They have been very professional and for the most part nice to me....had some issues in my first couple payments...mistakes or mis-understandings on my part but they were understanding. What more can you ask for. Really everyone is having tuff financial times...but its better to call and talk to them and be honest rather than ignore them. I am thankful they gave me a chance and I'm thankful that they are not too hard to work with.

Short version: if you don't pay, yes, they will act accordingly. Laser Finance has to: they are a company. Don't like their high-end rates: get a higher credit score. Until then, go somewhere else. (Good luck.)
Longer version: I don't understand how some people, as grammatically and intellectually challenged as they obviously are, can be capable of using the internet.
Yes, you have to be able to pay your bills on time: there is a difference between a finance company and a non-profit foundation.
Yes, you can't send in a check and postdate it. (per the Florida Attorney General's webpage): ""Do not accept post-dated checks (checks dated for future or indeterminate dates). These checks cannot be prosecuted for the crime of passing a worthless bank check if a bank dishonors them, but such checks may be resolved by a civil suit in small claims court."" In plainer English, you could have been sued. Learn from your mistake.
And to Orlando696969, you might want to look up the word ""Libel"" (""the communication of a statement that makes a claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government, or nation a negative image"") before you suggest that people ""lie"", commit illegal acts, or are ""mean and stupid"".

Honestly, my credit was shot prior to me buying my used car. i knew that i was gonna have to deal with having a higher interest rate and i was fine with that.
i have been with this company now for a little over a year and have not had any issues.
i have played the game of cat and mouse with them before with my payments (my birthday weekend..i was busy doing other things) and even after completely shafting them for almost 2 weeks i called them and told them what was up and they STILL treated me well. they are flexible as hell with my payments and never give me any attitude or anything. some of the things i've read on here have been completely humorous because i find this all so hard to be true. YEAH if you don't pay for your ride that THEY fronted you what else would you expect if you don't pay them, then lie and make up a thousand stories.
i dig them. and am very happy that they work with me so well.
and like i said...you get what you pay for. treat them like SH*T and they'll SH*T right back on you. andddd you probably deserve it.

I have had a loan with this company for a half a year now.... I NEVER had any of these problems. I agree with the last comment... If you are not paying your loan on time, then this is ALL probably true! But when u do pay it on time if u need an extension they work with u and NEVER disclose my info to anyone.
Pay your bills and they wont harass u. Ur asking for it by not paying your bills!!!

I have had several people I know end up financed with this awful company and if you give them references like they request they will call ALL your friends and family members and tell them that you are a deadbeat and that you don't pay your bills, etc. They are TERRIBLE people. They are worse than any buy here pay here in Central Florida.The dealers they have will LIE to you and all of a sudden before you know it you are being told you have to pay LASER and not the lot that you got your car from. The Collection Manager DORA is an incompetent MORON! She will disclose all your info to anyone she speaks to. That is ILLEGAL and they should be reported to the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION and if enough people file complaints something will be done. If you have had issues with LASER contact MORGAN & MORGAN in Orlando and they are attorneys that will help you and they will file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and they will get you money for suffering at the hands of LASER'S collectors. There are several women that work there. They are DORA, CAROL, JENNIFER & AUBRY. AUBRY IS THE WORST!!!! She is the owners (Karen Dean) daughter so she can get away with basically anything. She is very young and very mean and stupid and has no idea what she is doing.They will threaten you with the law and the law has NOTHING to do with the collections. DO NOT BE MISLEAD!!!! They cannot do anything except continue to act like morons and run there big mouths. When you go to buy a car make sure and be VERY CLEAR that if your loan is being sold or handled by LASER FINANCE RUN as fast as you can to another dealer. They mostly deal with K&B Financial Services in Apopka, BANK INVESTMENTS in Ocoee, MID FLORIDA WHOLESALERS in Sanford is one of there largest dealers.BAS Specialty Cars in Longwood,INEGRITY Autoi Sales of Melbourne, C&B Auto Sales in Ocala Florida.These are just a few dealers that they buy accounts from. BEWARE!!!! BEWARE!!!!! Be very diligent and making sure that LASER NEVER GETS A HOLD OF YOUR ACCOUNT!!!! you will be very sorry if they do.
This company is a JOKE!!!!! Dora the collections manager is an incompetent idiot. She disclioses your personal information to anyone that might answer the phone. She breaks the Federal Law regarding third party disclosure every time she makes a phone call. She is rude and very NASTY!!! When you go there to make a payment you have to wait while Dora ,Carol, Aubry and Karen (the owner) are outside smoking. They have very smelly dirty nasty dogs in the office also. I guess they can't smell the dog pee smell cuz they all smoke. Aubry smoke CIGARS like a man!. She is a nasty little worm! PLEASE READ ALL THE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND TRY ANY WAY POSSIBLE TO GET A CAR SOME OTHER WAY THAN DEALING WITH THEM. if you have ever dealt with a company that was a living nightmare you must be talking about -carmax-drive time-ugly duckling- those people will drive you to snap.
but laser made it easy and took the stress away-a peice of advice never avoid any calls or letters from your lenders -that is your own fault - never get mad at someone for your mistakes -we are all human and some smarter than others but - i would recommend laser to everyone. and be responsiable for your own actions and choices.

I mailed my check early and they processed my check as soon as recieved not waiting until the date my check was written for, I am on ssi and don't get my check until the third of the month. My check was written for the third of this month and they cashed it on 4/28/09 and I was charge $30.00 extra because they cashed my check early. Now who do I ger to give me back my thirty daollard the Laser Finance or my bank for honoring a check and cashing it before it was dated. Thank you for your time but would like a responce. Tonia

For the majority of you who leave feedback for this company, I can see why you are angry, if you can't spell your probably not making your payments on time either.
This company Laser Finance will give you a loan when no one else will, also they report to the credit bureau to help you build your credit, and the reason you get your car repoed is because you don't make your payments, and you avoid the calls from laser. It's been in my experience if your gonna be late on a payment and you are in contact with laser they are very flexible. I hate to say it, but if your financing with laser it's probably because nobody else will give you a loan, if your a loser,then you deserve what you get. but if you are trying to rebuild your life and your credit then laser is the way to go..........

Talk about a buisness that has a crazy staff. That is Laser Finance,inc. I have never experienced such lack of respect from a buisness until 2004 when Laser came into my life. The people are rude and there demenor is poor to there customers. Dora shouldnt even be working, she is incompatant, rude and just plain out has no customer service skills. This company will take your payments and if you are late they charge you a very big late charge.If you forget to pay the late charge they use the late charge from your purchasing price and then charge you another late charge for none payment on your account then your bill is higher every month. They will even have your car repoed for $ 7.00 as they did me saying i didnt pay the full amount. Then they threaten you with the fact that it is against the law not to pay and you could be prosocuted and thrown in jail for non payment. When I have showed up with my payments no one would be in the office they would be out smoking, and or talking outside with no one inside. I have almost twice called the better buisness beareu on them. I DIDNTeven want to rate them with a star. I WARN anyone that has to deal with this complany to RUN RUN RUN.

I have dealt with many different companies over many decades, and my advice is not to deal with this company under any circumstances. I can't say they are the worst company in the world, since they cannot be classed the same as fraudsters on the internet or elsewhere. However, i can say that they are amongst the very worst. Their business practices are beyond belief. It is said in other reviews - probably written by the sycophants that work there - that if you make the payments you have nothing to worry about. This isn't strictly true for this company. They repeatedly demand paperwork that was already supplied by the car dealership that you already dealt with, demand multiple additional paperwork, charge interest rates that are ridiculous, charge massive fees, and have a staff whose incompetence, rudeness, deceptiveness and lack of industry knowledge makes them a joke, and a last resort. Should you fall behind on your payment, even a few days, they are worst than most other companies in the field. They will start intimidation tactics, call you at your workplace, call you at your home, issue threatening letters, state false information and try to threaten you as best they can. When i dealt with them after being five days late on a payment, they stated as fact that something was part of the contract, and that i had broken the law, when in fact it was not part of the contract, and i had not. This company is staffed by the most incompetent malcontents in the industry. Though they might seem pleasant at first, they are really just genuinely nasty people, who i suspect have little in the way of understanding or education, but just are pushy and good at intimidation. And should you ever get more than a couple of weeks late, i guarantee the repo-man will be showing up at your door, and probably long before that. I have NEVER written a review critical of any company before. I just feel that people need to know the truth about this company. Be warned !!!

Laser FInance is a good company. The only reason you would ever have a problem with them is if you did not make your payments. How simple is that. Besides, I don't know anyone that works for free unless they are sentenced to community service or independently wealthy.

Customer services at laser finance is horible. Dorah is very un proffessional needs to be train better. They try to tell you what to and how to do it. they try to put fear in you. when it comes down to it they do not even keep good records of the customer or their insurance paper. always there is a problem about insurance paper. got to give them proof of paper over ten time.
like i said they need better customer services reps & better training.
in the future i will go some where else.
