Costco is THE BEST!! High quality meat and produce, delicious baked goods and such a variety of products. We make "The Trip" to Costco every week or two to stock up. Costco prices are fair and reasonable. You may be able to save a few cents at Wal-Mart but it is like the difference between eating at a hash joint and fine dining. Costco is so well run and it is a pleasure to shop there, we always feel privileged to be there, having lived in the North Georgia mountains for some years where Costco was 100 miles away. Thanks Costco.
For the very first time ...I felt discriminated at costco after so many years of shopping . On April 13, 2015.. I went shopping with a friend , we both have cards but we usually use her's so he gets the points. She went ahead and paid for her groceries. I was behind her so I thought I was next to pay ... to my surprised a guy was in front of me talking to the cashier mike then he paid for his groceries... They did not even ask me if it was okay...
Then I was about to pay ... He asked for my card... my friend was about to take her card out when Mike asked me how I was going to pay for my groceries... "What the hell? Did he think I went shopping without money ? So, I answered" debit card" then he said " no your friend has to decide " then I said , okay I'll use my card, do I handed him my company card.. He took my card and looked at me and said I will need to see some ID... what the heck.., he was really giving me a hard time ... Why? is it because I look Asian with American last name ? Mike is such racist old fart. He needs to be working in the back without any direct contact to the customers.
Well costco just lost me and there will be more...
I will be spreading the words toy network and co workers ... I'm glad SAMs club is opening in apopka .
I have been shopping at Costco for years. Sometimes I have my own card , sometimes I use my friends card. On April 13, 2015...was my most upsetting and discriminating experience I ever had. I went in with my friend and after she paid her groceries, I was supposed to be next but I did not realize that the cashier Mike let his friend cut through while I was busy putting my goods on the counter. He did not even ask me if that was okay...very rude, right ? then it was my turn to pay .. he asked for the membership card... my friend forgot to leave it out... when she was about to hand it over.... Mike asked How I was going to pay for my groceries...I answered "debit Card" ... then he said "no your friend has to decide" what the hell !! (why did it matter how I pay, and why my friend had to decide, ) . then i said.. okay let's just use my card ( I handed my company card with my name on it) he looked at my card and looked at me and said.. "i'm gonna need to see some ID"
that was another hell !
In my mind, is it because I look asian with american last name... He's such a racist old fart...
I could not stop thinking about it...i have to let it out now....
My next step would be to cancel my company membership and spread the word to my network of friends and co - workers. I will switch to Sam's Club.. I'm glad they are building one close to my neighborhood...and it's almost done.
I purchased a very expensive camera from the store and then the same day turn around and took it back because my husband was upset that I made the purchase without consulting him. I never opened the box nor did I even take the box out of the car. I brought the camera back to the return area at Costco where an older woman I believe her name was Julia took the box used her pen to break the tape seal where lo and behold a different device that I never purchased was in the box! now this old lady Julia claims that she never opened the box..I asked the manager Bob to look over the video surveillance, because the box was sealed when I bought it and when I brought it in to return. We will see if Manager Bob even looks at the surveillance video. I've had a couple bad run ins with this Costco & this is it. I will never shop at this Costco store again and if I have one more bad experience with any Costco I will cancel my membership and blast their names all over any social media I possibly can to let people know to not shop at their store or to beware of what may happen to them as what has happened to me.

Incompetent personnel in the pharmacy; and then the employee lied to cover up her inability or apathy, whichever one it was. I wouldn't trust this pharmacy with meds for my dog, let alone for me or my wife or my kids. They're cheaper, but I'll pay a little more to be safe. Please think twice before going here. Oh, on a separate note, my wife and I walked around to figure out if a membership would be worthwhile; you literally could not walk without stepping into somebody's way. Very poorly laid out, and no signs saying what's down the aisle, which to me made everybody in the store frustrated and impatient. A feeling of tension throughout the time we were walking around.

I have been going to Costco for many years and I love their products...but buy them quick! There have been numerous items that I love and buy until one day they disappear! They carry items for a short time and then get rid of them. Now, on to the customer service...well I have been working in retail for 8 years now and I would never treat customers the way the Costco staff does. They are rude, selfish, always in a hurry to get your money and just send you on your way without a hello, thank you or goodbye. I have gone to purchase things from the meat department and have needed help and no one to be found. I have purchased milk and it went bad within 2 days, because their refrigeration unit doesn't work! I guess they give the HD (Citysearch won't let me say it...LOL ridiculous) lots of samples while visiting. The parking lot is full of shopping carts, because Costco employees are too good to actually do manual labor. And I can't tell you how unprofessional it is to allow your staff to dress as if they walked off the street. I completely agree with letting your staff be comfortable in their own clothes and not in a uniform, but at least have some type of clothing code like we had in high school...no tank tops, shorts, flip flops...and please some people shouldn't wear tight clothes...I don't want to see your stomach hanging out whether you're skinny or fat. Overall, they just need to train their staff better and to have good customer service. Lately, I find things to be cheaper if I search the ads and some things are at places like Publix and Wallmart, but until someone makes a good decision and puts a BJ's or Sam's Club in the Altamonte/Longwood area, Costco will continue to be busy despite all of the flaws they have.
