I would highly discourage anyone from going to this so called "vet". I recently got my first puppy, who is now 16 weeks and I took him to loving hands twice to get his puppy shots. The first time, I waited over 20 minutes and was the only person in the lobby. Once we got to the back, prices and vaccines fluctuated from what I was originally told on the phone. I went ahead and got what they recommended, but was a little annoyed. Once we left, I realized they never even gave my puppy his bordetella vaccine, that I paid for. This really frustrated me, because I had to drive back to the vet and tell them they forgot to give his bordetella. They apologized, and gave him his shot. The second time I went, I waited for more than 20 minutes and was the only person in the lobby. We got to the back, and they started asking me which shots my puppy should be getting. This was very discerning to me, because shouldn't the vet know what shots to give my puppy? I am not the expert, the doctor is! After going over what shots he would get, they again forgot to do the bordetella. Luckily for me, I reminded them to do it before we left. I also asked about the rabies vaccine, and they told me to wait until my puppy is atleast 4-6 months old. I left frustrated again, because of the vaccine mix-up and price changes, but decided to go ahead and go back a third time for his final set of puppy shots. I get a call today less than 2 hours before my appt time, stating that my puppy was only set up for civ/lepto, not the distemper and in order to get all three I needed to see a doctor and one was not available until a later time. I became very frustrated and confused, because when I left the last time, I set up an appt for all three shots. I had enough at this point and decided I would not be going back to this place. I also need to mention this place is very expensive and over charges for everything. I called and went to a new vet today, and had a much better experience. I spoke with the new vet today and she informed me that it is a law to get the rabies vaccine by 12 weeks. I was stunned... why would loving hands tell me to wait until he is 6 months if it's a law????? This is unacceptable. Needless to say, I got my puppy's final set of shots and rabies for almost half the price of what loving hands would have charged me. Oh, and the new vet also clipped his nails for free and did a fantastic job. I will never go back to loving hands, and I will make sure to spread the word about my horrible experiences with this place.

All they care about is money! After visiting my previous vet I can really see the difference. Save your money or go get a second opinion and see the difference for yourself. My dog need a cystotomy and they gave me an estimate ranging from 3,000-4,000 dollars.? Went to my previous vet that was in another county and the cost of the surgery was WAY less, and included IV catheter, fluids, antibiotics and pain meds, prescription food, and they kept her over night at no charge. My previous vet also had multiple payment options that helped me since I'm in college and working part time. There payment option is pay everything up front time of service. I can understand little things but a 4,000 dollar surgery!? I think they have some trust issues. But anyways, it has been months now since my pup has had her surgery at my previous vet and she hasn't had any problems. I don't understand how the same surgery in two different counties can have such a big price difference. And when they are not willing to work with you, the owner of the pet, they tell you that's the best they can do. You're almost guaranteed to go somewhere else, unless you have that kind of money to spend.
Oh, and be ready to sign multiple estimate/paperwork for anything they do. Even if you declined any services. Maybe that should be a red flag that this company has had some major problems in the past.

It saddens me after years of going to what I thought was the best Animal Hospital around that I have to write this review and give this clinic 1 stars. I left there today shaking from the frustration of dealing with the staff and not even getting to see a Dr. in spite of having an appointment. I have gone to this clinic for aprox 10 years. It is not the nearest and definitely not the cheapest. I also am in rescue so I have brought many rescue animals here and referred many friends. Over the past 6 months I have seen the service decline. The "new" staff member excuse has been overused. Today was just a simple visit to get heartworm medication and discuss a an ongoing issue with an adopted dog they have seen and we have been working with. I was never brought back to see a Dr. but told that their records indicate that since I have not purchased heartworm prevention from them in 6 months (I get elsewhere as a benefit from being in dog rescue) that they could not sell it to me and I would have to go through heartworm testing all over again to purchase from them. (My dog was heartworm negative at his 6 mos checkup and I always keep my dogs current on medication) The other dog that I had bought heartworm from in the last 5 months did not show in their records that she had been tested (even though she was and it had not been posted to her records) so they could not resell it to me. When asked if I could see the Dr. because we had been using a holistic method to deal with her fear of people, they gave me an 8 page form to fill out and come back another day for a behavioral evaluation (for a dog that just sits and shakes). I was given a nurse who insinuated that Dr. Rosner gave me inferior service and wrongly provided treatment for my animal and told me to go home and PROVE that my dog was heartworm negative even though they did all the tests 5 months ago and obviously didn't enter it. My only recourse in keeping current on heartworm prevention is to redo the tests and pay the extra hundreds of dollars for my dogs or take them elsewhere. I love Dr. Rosner but I'm sorry to say that when your staff continues to make these errors, insults me as your client who has stayed current on needed testing, and then insinuates that it is the Dr. who has given subpar care to my pets and charges me $160 and have never seen a vet during my scheduled appointment, I have to realize that this is not the care I am used to nor will continue subsidize. I have paid the high price because I thought I was getting the best. No one is ever irreplaceable. Your staff just cost you a loyal customer and future referrals. Sad and frustrated....and without heartworm protection for my animals because of clerical errors and greed.

I brought my pet there for many years and finally got fed up with poor customer service and expensive pricing. They even upcharge when they send out for test results. Do yourself a favor and find another vet.

I wish I would have read the reviews here before I spent many thousands of dollars at Loving Hands Vet in Alpharetta. The Drs there are arrogant and test-happy. Sure the place is nice , neat and clean. But in my opinion, thats about all you get for your money. If you want lots of tests with no answers, come here!

Wonderful veterinary care!! After having been to Loving Hands I will never trust my pet's health to anywhere else. I have seen all the doctors there and they are each wonderful in their own ways. This clinic does everything you could ask for! They even offer a yearly event free to everyone that teaches you about pet safety and CPR. They see all animals, dogs, cats, birds, exotics. Dr. Martinez has also seen my pig and goat. The nurses and front staff are also wonderful and really seem to care. If you want the best quality care you can get for your pets, go to Loving Hands Animal Clinic.

A horrible experience with incompetent vets and rude staff, in particular, Judy Bailey, the mis-manager, there. Never go there if you care for your pet.

Dependable and VERY caring!

Loving Hands Animal Clinic is a place you can trust for you pet’s care. As a veterinary student who has spent time at many clinics, I strongly support the level of passion and commitment that LHAC gives to their clients and patients. Doctors at Loving Hands practice quality medicine with close attention to current diagnostic and treatment protocols and their nurses treat all patients with the care and respect they would give their own. Loving Hands supports preventative medicine and yearly wellness exams to catch disease early and emphasizes client communication throughout the practice to make sure you are a part of the decision making process in your pet’s medical care. The four doctors within the practice have special interests in different areas of medicine including behavior, internal medicine, alternative therapy, and avian/exotic care. They regularly exercise each other as resource to make sure your pet’s medical needs are met regardless of the problem or species. Digital x-ray equipment offers fast and clear pictures to figure out your pet’s problem, and modern surgery tools allow for common surgical procedures to be performed faster with fewer post-operative complications. You can be confident your pet is getting the proper testing, treatment, and handling care you are paying for. If you are new to the area and are looking for a practice to start a relationship with, Loving Hands will not disappoint.

Bunny Care

I have taken four different rabbits to this clinic over the past 10 years. Dr. Parker just recently neutered and spayed two new bunnies for my daughter and did a great job. The bunnies were treated extremely well and we were given great instructions on how to make them comfortable in recovery. I also have a 9 year old bunny with a large tumor that they removed successfully about two years ago now and he's still going strong. It's hard to find a good small animal doctor, but I would recommend either Dr. Parker or Dr. Martinez for the care of small animals.

good quality care

We've been very happy with the care our dogs have received at Loving Hands. The staff are very polite to us and kind to our pets, and the vets are knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell they care about the animals they treat.

They have a play area for children and a large waiting room with comfortable seating and reading materials. So although it's a very busy office, waiting is no big deal.

Wonderful and loving

We have been going to Loving Hands since moving to Alpharetta 10 months ago. We have an almost 13 year old yellow Lab that has many issues and a 3 year old Lab mix. Dr. Roesner and staff are ALWAYS available anytime I have a question and treat my dogs, especially my old girl, with nothing but love. I trust them and know that they always have my dog's best interests at heart. When we have to go out of town, I always board there, as I know the dogs will be well taken care of, and should something go wrong, there are in the best place possible to receive the best care possible. We feel very lucky to have found them.
