Worst ortho/oral/general surgery anywhere.. overbook, no one answers phones, waiting 2 hours for appointment and still waiting! Cops were there due to irate customers! Others waiting for 3 hours and this is daily... Drs are independent contractors so they don't limit amount of patients... nice concept of everything in house but patients are NOT a priority!
This place is awful! They abandoned my three year old daughter stating she was "too young of a patient or too difficult of a patient" (what one of the hygienists told me) to be treated for anything other than a cleaning. The dentist started off by telling me my daughters teeth could be capped until they fell out, she ended up getting an abscess above one of her teeth and all of a sudden FOUR teeth needed to be EXTRACTED! they extracted one on the office and it was a horrible experience. They didn't give her any numbing cream on her gums before the novacaine, they gave her several shots of novacaine to the point that the dentist almost BROKE THE NEEDLE OFF IN HER MOUTH and then yanked her tooth without even letting the numbing take effect!!!!!! My daughter is traumatized from this.
Patient beware!!! I took my daughter to children's section with child health plus and never had a cavity. As soon as I lost the insurance she had 2 cavities, occlusals and I was told 350 for each. I almost died, I had to cancel I couldn't not afford it. I called again to find out if I can do one at a time and receptionist tools me she now has four!!!!! She said I should not wait, because the cavaties will turn into possible root canals! !! I got c copies of xray and chart, there was only 2 so called cavities, i had three different opinions from a dentist, orthodontist, and dental assistant and none could have found the so called cavities! !! Please be careful! !!
It makes no sense at all to wait until only two days before an appointment to tell the patient that they need to have someone else there during the entire appointment. That is unprofessional and inconsiderate. I should have been informed of that when the appointment was made (TWO WEEKS PRIOR) so that I could make arrangements. That was a complete waste of my time.
I haven't been to the dentist in a while. The last time I went to a dentist was such a horrific experience that I never went back. Needless to say, I was apprehensive and nervous upon entering smilekrafters I was immediately put at ease by the reception desk. Everyone was so friendly, understanding, and patient. The procedures were explained in depth and I was asked multiple times if I had any questions. Dr. Andrew ( I still can't spell his last name... its a long one ..sorry) performed an exam to see where my tooth pain was coming from, and while he did that, he explained exactly what he was doing and if I could expect to feel any pain or discomfort. The procedures I need are some what expensive, but I anticipated that. Even with insurance. But they also explained to me in detail the payment options they have and exactly what I can expect to pay. I am so glad that I did, and that I am getting started on the road to better dental health.
