Extremely disappointed in this company. My trash was not picked up for 4 weeks and when I called to cancel I was suppose to get a refund of those weeks plus the recent payment I had made. 8 weeks have passed with no refund. I called the company was treated poorly and was told I didn't deserve the refund. How did I not deserve it??? They were the ones that failed to provide me the service of picking up my trash. I recommend never using this company! Try waste management. They provide better customer service and are always on time even during a snow storm.
This company is a joke. My trash has not been picked up for two weeks due to snow. Which would be understandable if they followed some sort of make up collection schedule. When they finally decided to show up and remove my two week old trash they didn't even take it all and it was all in the container as per their rules. I totally agree with the earlier post Raritan's prices do increase every billing cycle and for what lousy service and unprofessional haulers(that's another story I won't get into know). News Flash Raritan Valley you are not the only trash haulers in town and I will be taking my trash disposal needs elsewhere. I would rate them a zero but one is the lowest you're allowed to rate.
The customer service at Raritan Valley Disposal is a VERY poor. We received a recorded call last Thursday (Feb, 13, 2014) that our trash would not be picked up due to the storm (this was understandable) and that pick up would be a day behind. It is now Monday and our trash and recyclables still have not been collected so I called the company. The representative that I spoke with said that collection would be done this Thursday (totally skipping our collection last week!). I asked about our recyclables which are collected every 2 weeks. I was told they would be collected on Feb. 27. This is FOUR WEEKS after our last collection. I stated that this was unacceptable because our recyclable containers were overflowing after 2 weeks and there was no way we could wait 2 more weeks to have them collected and that was NOT the service I was paying for. She asked me if I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I said yes and the line I was transferred to was a VOICEMAIL. When you have an angry customer with a complaint who needs to talk to a supervisor, you DO NOT connect them to a voicemail! I bet I never hear back from this "supervisor" and as I stated in my voicemal, if I do not, I will be taking my business elsewhere. They increase their prices every billing period anyway. It doesn't seem like much but if you look back, over a year or two they DOUBLE the amount they charge. Totally disgusted with this company!
