Place has a strong urine smell. You could tell someone sprayed out air freshener but it didn't cover horrible smell. The atmosphere more like a daycare than school. The teacher clothes were dirty and she didn't seem to care for her job or children.
I wouldn't recommend this daycare to anyone. The lack of common sense and communication don't inspire any sort of confidence, especially enough to leave my children in their care. We would be more than happy to discuss our experience with any interested parents.
Our family has been blessed to be a part of the Primrose family since 2010. We came to the school seeking a program with structure and a challenging curriculum for our 2 years old son, who was struggling in another daycare center. Immediately he was put into a classroom that nurtured and encouraged his creativity and thirst for learning and was moved when it was the right time for him and not based on age alone. The preschool and kindergarten programs gave him a solid foundation and allowed us to send him to public school with ease. Primrose has the best teachers and staff members, a happy and safe learning environment, well balanced meals, tons of extracurricular activity options, and makes a difference in our local community through many projects throughout the year. When we were looking for childcare for our littlest one, we considered several other options because of our home and work locations, and realized that no in-home provider, nanny, or other facility could ever come close to matching the positive experience that we have had. After several months in the infant room, we feel so fortunate to be able to go to work every day knowing that our sweet girl will be cared for, engaged, entertained and loved when we can’t be there ourselves. Without a doubt, there could not be a better place for our babies to grow.
As an educator in a top-ranked educational institution, I have high expectations for my own children. This private preschool, and kindergarten, excels in teaching children how to think. Both of my daughters, ages 2 & 3, have been attending this school for more than a year. This school teaches Mandarin, Spanish and English, which research shows learning more than one language further develops independent problem solving abilities. Even better, my children come home speaking, singing and teaching me the same songs in different taught words/phrases/songs! Additionally, Brookhaven has potty-trained my girls, taught them great schedule structure and how to socialize with their peers. Our son is attending Brookhaven's private kindergarten because the teacher is certified and the class size is extremely low, so it is comparable to our son receiving extensive year-long curriculum tutoring to ensure he will not struggle with the 3rd grade STARR assessment in a few years. Aside from the curriculum and class sizes, Brookhaven serves daily breakfast, 2 snacks and lunch all included in the tuition price, so you do not have to worry about packing snacks and lunches for school! If you are looking for smaller class sizes, certified teachers, trilingual opportunities, stricter academic schedule and a great staff, look no further than Brookhaven! I highly recommend this school for anyone looking for a well-round private preschool and kindergarten in the dfw area.
My daughter has been attending the school for the past two years. Since I will be taking a new job in Kansas, we'll be leaving Texas soon. Both my husband and I are very satisfied with the school and the way our daughter has blossomed under its guidance during the past year. I just want to say thanks to all the staff for their invaluable assistance.
