I had an issues with a potential leak as I was smelling gas from our ventless fireplace in our family room. I immediately called Cyprus Air heating and Cooling. From my initial contact with Clarissa I was then transferred to Mr. Murdoch who then walked me through the process and instructed me to immediately turn the unit off. He then sent me back to Clarissa who made an emergency appointment within two days of my call, Clarissa is efficient and very understanding. Then I received my reminder call from Stephanie, and then the call that the tech was on the way and when to expect him. Stephanie understands customer service and is very professional. My tech, Leo, what a godsend, he found the leak and repaired it showed me where the gas line ran, walked me through the operation of my TWO systems, ensured that all the gas units were operating since we has to turn the gas off. Leo is knowledgable, will educate you on the systems but sometimes we as customer's also need to take the initiative to ask for some OJT. Cyprus air may be a bit more expensive than some and less than others but I wouldn't call anyone else to service, maintain, or install any of my fireplaces, you get what you pay for and they are well worth the peace of mind that you get from skilled professionals. Sadat, the supervisor of the technicians is also interested in the clients concerns and is very proactive if he is called, the only call I have made to him is the call to compliment the technician's that installed our living room unit and service our family room unit. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR MAINTENANCE CONTRACT, RESONABLE AND COST EFFECTIVE.
My best friend referred me to Cyprus, she has used them for many years and I called her for a referral. It was late on a Friday afternoon and I figured there was no hope for help getting our A/C back up and working that day. We had spent 5 days without it working because the original installer (a one-man operation ) at first couldn't find the problem and just added Freon that didn't last and then waiting days for him to come find the problem - he was physically unable to fix it and left us hot and bothered, to find a real company to fix it. I called and spoke to Jeff who knew exactly what the problem was by my pitiful description, but was friendly and seemed genuinely concerned. He didn't have a Tech available until the next morning (totally understandable) so we made an appt for the next day. I hung up and was dreading another evening of sticky heat and not 10 minutes later the phone rang and it was Jeff from Cyprus! He had a Tech who was freed up and could come that day! 5pm on a Friday! I was shocked and thrilled! Andy was the Tech who came and was FANTASTIC! He identified the problem and got right to work. It was a miserable job involving Andy having to literally bend inside the a/c unit and weld copper piping outside in the blazing sun. It was in the 90s the entire time. It was a grueling, physically challenging job and Andy did it with ease and a great attitude. He went above and beyond in so many ways, as did Jeff - that we no doubt will be customers for life, but will recommend them to everyone. This company is a true CLASS ACT!
There was no charge on the day because we signed up for twice-yearly service calls. We pay &=$18.80/month, sort of like an insurance policy. It really is a win/win for the both of us. During spring and fall they probably don't get as many service calls so it's probably a good time to check equipment before it gets heavily used. I think of it like going to the dentist twice a year, to avoid trouble later on. We have been on this plan for five years now. If I am really lucky I get my favorite technician, Mathew. He is extremely knowledgeable plus its nice to see a familiar face. The other GREAT thing is that he came on the early side of the four-hour window. That made me very happy. If you are a member of the Cyprus Plan and you have a heating or cooling emergency, you are given priority. That is a big benefit. Another good thing is the fact that they have an actual brick-and-mortar showroom, they are not just a phone number. I like that.
I'm writing to tell about the employee Levi C. My A.C. Went out during the hottest time of the summer so far. It was hard to diagnose what the issue was on the first call. The conclusion was my low voltage wire needed to be replaced and it would involve running a new wire through my home which would require drywall to be cut. The work would need to be done at another service call. I had to stay in a hotel until the next day when Levi showed up and was so nice and sympathetic to my situation with no heat. He got right to work and through his investigation found that the wire had a cut in it right near my fan unit in my utility room. This would be an easy fix with only a splice at the unit. This was going to save me hundreds and he was very pleased that he could do this for me at a lower cost. All I can say to Cyprus Air is keep Levi he was very courteous and was very knowlegable he is an asset to your company.
Beginning with its installation of these fireplace units and the build-out of the fireplace on my ground floor, Cyprus Air's service, professionalism, pricing, quality and timeliness were exemplary. Their design and execution of the fire place build were spectacular, converting my ground floor family room into the most comfortable and beautiful area in the house. Since installation, Cyprus has performed exemplary annual servicing of the units it installed. On this most recent visit, the Cyprus Air technician arrived when scheduled and called me in advance of arriving to alert me to his imminent arrival. While here he performed his work very professionally, laying out a canvas tarp to ensure that any ashes he might stir up while cleaning out the fire places would not stain nearby carpet or furniture. When he left, both fire place units were fully functional, both looked clean and ready for another winter.
We ordered two campfire model log sets from Cyprus. One fireplace was already plumbed for natural gas and we were replacing an older log set. The other fireplace needed to have gas service installed. This installation proved to be more difficult than anticipated, but the installer (William) was innovative and got the job done in a very professional manner. After a week we noticed that one of the remotes was operating both fireplaces and that one of the pilot lights was making a noticeable hissing noise. William returned within a few days, changed the frequency on one of the remotes and its log set and adjusted the offending pilot. Problems solved. So far we love the products and have already put both fireplaces to more use than they received all last season. William and his assistants as well as the office staff were pleasant and professional throughout our dealings.
I have had a contract with Cyprus Air for several years for this maintenance. Cyprus calls to schedule a date, calls the might before to tell me the window of time the technician will be arriving the next day, and then follows up afterwards to make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. The same technician has come for several years, and he is very efficient, friendly, and able to explain or train you in how to use the fireplace features. My fireplace has various settings using both the remote and manually so if I forget anything he can show me what to do. I feel secure knowing it is checked every year so it will operate safely and last a long time since it was expensive to install in the first place. Usually, the service takes less than an hour and the technician brings his own drop cloth to keep the area clean.
We went to the showroom to upgrade an existing gas fireplace with a new set of logs. The salesperson was knowledgeable, polite and patient in explaining the different options available and the differences between them. The follow up calls - prior to the installation - from the customer service team were polite and professional. In addition to providing me information about the installation schedule, they asked if I had any questions to make sure I was comfortable with the overall process. The installation team (two gentlemen) were very polite and answered all my questions regarding the new fireplace unit. They showed me how to perform all the basic operations and how best to use the system. I would happily recommend Cyprus Air Fireplace Systems to other.
I've had such a pleasurable experience working with Cyprus Air and I feel inclined to provide them with a good review. I made the decision to convert from the natural wood fireplaces to the modern gas burning versions and I could not be happier with my choice. Not only do they look realistic and require little maintenance, they also produce a great amount of heat....much more than expected. This company has a lot to offer in terms of mantel styles and log set options, but what I liked most is the suggestions shared based on what my overall goals were. The workers were very thorough and clean, I appreciate all the hard work!
Cyprus Air called a month ahead to schedule the appointment. They arrived on the date scheduled and within the time frame agreed upon. There was a main technician and a man in training. They were both friendly and wore clean uniforms. When they first arrived the fireplace would not respond to the remote starter. The technician performed his work very professionally. He laid out a canvas tarp to prevent ashes from staining the carpet. I had purchased a new electric carbon monoxide monitor and he took tome to discuss it's importance and where place it. The Fireplace was fully operational when he left. I was very impressed!!
