This is my second purchase from southern and the customer service has always been exceptional, I drive an hour to take it there because the dealership 29 min from me has the worst service I've ever received.


First, I'd like to say the shuttle driver and the desk clerks were professional and helpful to the extend they could be. I have been trying to get my driver front window repaired here at the Alexandria dealership to no avail. I took it in for an appt last Friday for an oil change and window repair, but they claimed not to have found an issue. I took the vehicle back in the very next day on Saturday to personally show two people that the window does not move up nor down when pressed, while I test drove the CT6 for pontential purchase. They scheduled me for another appt for today at 7am. I took the vehicle in for my 7am appt, waited 1 1/2 hours, and eventually decided to wait at home for their call. I ended up calling them 3 times during the day to get status. The 2nd call I was advised it would be checked when the guy came back from lunch at 1pm. My last call at about 4:30pm, they told me no one was able to look at it and to bring it in again tomorrow. I have taken off 2 days of work attempting to get this fixed, to not only avoid a hassle at the entry gate to Ft Polk, but also, to have a vehicle that's functioning properly that is still under warranty. I requested a loaner vehicle so I can get to work, however I was told no vehicles are available...This is the service I get after purchasing my 3RD Cadillac, previously potential 4th in a few years. Horrible customer service to say the least. I am a female, military retiree, and this is NOT the 1st issue with service...BUYER BEWARE!

They had this BIG advertisement on the TV about it doesn't matter how upside down you are on your vehicle, we can help, BULL.. they didn't show me anything, they drove mine and didn't work out anything. The first time I bought with them about 6 years ago, we had an A/C leak all over the floor of our brand new car. And we heard it happen to all these model cars. They just wanted to shampoo my stinky carpet and fix the problem. So I don't know why I even went there yesterday. Thank you Southern for nothing.

Recently i had my car in the shop for servicing. During this time Southern Chevrolet's service dept damaged the hood on my vehicle and left deep gashes and dents. I spoke with the supervisor and asked to have the hood repaired or at least refund my money and was told that they would not repair or refund the money that i paid them. It basically turned into a “his word vs mine” and i would receive no compensation for the damages. I have tried contacting the general manger and he will not return my call. Sad that this is how they treat a loyal customer of many years. I will never do business with them again and i advise everyone i know to stay away from Southern Chevrolet . They are dishonest and have no customer loyalty.

Very poor service after sale

VERY VERY poor customer service from the service center. I have had 3 service appointments so far too fox my keyless entry, which resulted in over 10 hours of waiting, and have had no results yet. On the last appointment I was sent home and told that the service department would call me within the next three days to schedule my next appointment because the port should be ready then however it is over a week later and I still have not gotten that phone call. When I tried to call the service center this morning for over an hour and a half I got no response. I have also discovered that the plastic piece on one side of my seat was cracked during my last appointment




I dropped my 2012 Malibu off at 8 am Wednesday morning because there is a knocking noise coming from the front and the steering wheel moves when I go over bumpy roads. This car was purchased brand new from your dealer ship and 90% of the miles that have been put on it are interstate miles. I should not be having any type of problem with my car and I most certainly should not feel unsafe driving it. I have had two different mechanics confirm this after they drove my car a short distance. Thursday afternoon your Service Center finally returned my call and told me they had rotated my tires,they found no oil leak, there may be a transmission leak and that they were about to look into the knocking noise. Friday, I had to call several times before I finally got someone on the phone because no one would return my phone call. At this point I was informed that your Service Center was just getting my car in the air to look for the problem and I probably wouldn't get my car back until next week. I was promised that they would call me and update me on whatever they found by the end of the day. When I didn't hear back from your Service Center by 5 pm I called and was eventually hung up on. Later that evening, I am informed by my father that your Service Center drove my car several times but could not find anything wrong with it, so, the car would be ready for me to pick up Saturday. Apparently, your employees decided they should speak to my father about my car after he called Friday morning upset at your lack of service. My father has never driven my car, he did not drop my car off and you were told to contact me. I picked my keys up Saturday at the sales counter, as arranged by my father and you, and as I am driving out of the dealership I hear the noise.

I don't know whether to be more upset over experiencing problems with my car this soon, the lack of effort your shop put into fixing my problem or the fact that you decided I was not competent enough for you to discuss my car with me.

new customer and extremely pleased

I have been a customer of another dealership here in town for several years. However, the service has gotten very bad due to personnel changes in the shop and I have heard horror stories from friends and family about the ford dealership. I decided to shop Southern Chevrolet and got a great deal on a new Tahoe. When I went in for my 1st oil change (which was free) I received wonderful service from my service advisor, Lanelwyn. I could not be happier.
