Urinary Incontinence
Urinary incontinence simply means leaking urine. Incontinence can range from leaking just a few drops of urine to complete emptying of the bladder. Some other symptoms include an increase in urgency, frequency, and painful urination. Typically, women with urinary incontinence will experience abnormal leaking while coughing, laughing, exercising, or having an overactive bladder. To diagnose this condition, Alexandria Women’s Center physicians will assess a patient’s medical history, perform a physical exam, and may perform some imaging and bladder tests.
