Mrs. Angela and her staff did an awesome job assisting me and my mother with my wedding gown purchase! Not only was Mrs. Angela helpful to me, due to me living outside of Alexandria, but any concerns that I had she assured me they would be resolved and they were. Her and her staff made this process very easy and quick for me!
Ordered my wedding dress on January 20, 2014 for a May 3, 2014 wedding. Was told by the Alexandria, LA store that it would be in 8-10 weeks or the end of March 2014. Talked to them mid Feburary when slip came in and said dress should be here by March. Called mid-March and said it should be in by end of March. On March 27, 2014 called to check on order and they had pushed delivery date back to April 28, 2014. Talked to shift manager at Alexandria store (Barbara) and she found me another size that was similar- told me that the 16 size they got me in the store was the same as the 14W that I originally ordered. When I went this past weekend to try it on it was way too big and the Alexandria store manager (Angela) told me that they should have never gone up a size that the 16 was not the same size as the 14W but she would alter free of charge. They told me that the dress in my size was in the Monroe, LA store- drove up there (2 hours one way) and they didn't have it. Store manager of Alexandria, LA store was going to call corporate office to get my size which was available online into the store for me and give me significant discount and free alterations. They told me that my dress was discontinued but that wasn't the hold up on original order- not sure what was going on with original order. Store manager called today said that they couldn't get the original size and it was delayed again until January 2015 (Wedding is in May 2014) due to discontinued size- even though yesterday was told that wasn't the reason for the delay. Also changed her story to say that the 16 would fit the same as the 14W. Told her that isn't what she told me Saturday- she said yes it was but I have two other witnesses that heard her tell me it wasn't the same on Saturday. Then told that only the waist alterations would be covered not all alterations as was told Saturday and Sunday. Wouldn't give me an exact amount that dress would be refunded due to all the stress/travel/and delays due to original order not being fulfilled. Got refund from store - with no apology for the misleading from Saturday to Monday - and bought online with no discounts. Paid extra to get rush shipping- hopefully it will be in by this weekend and that will give me 2 weeks for any alterations if needed. VERY UNHAPPY about all the delays, lies, and misleading. WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN! Thought by giving it 4.5 months that the dress would be in but I guess David's Bridal in Alexandria LA doesn't care about customer satisfaction - just covering themselves and making money!
