Heaven forbid you have a poor credit rating! I was not allowed to open a checking or savings account. I did not want a loan or over draft protection, I wanted to deposit over $ 10,000.00 so I could pay my debts and medical bills. Nope, I was instructed to go to Wal-Mart and see if they could help me. Or, it was suggested I find a credit union that had a relationship with my Midwest CU and THEN I could try again with them. If another credit union would assist me WHY would I come back to one that rejected me? Sorry, I am use to Midwest kindness versus Albuquerque arrogance. I wish I could move back. Dale,at the Lomas location, was all smiles and giggles, not helpful.

Viscous people. Have been reporting to my credit for three years when we agreed to an account closure. Nasty collection tactics, verbal abuse, and unfair collection practices. Will not operate under the terms of the laws governing fair debt collections practices. I highly recommend seeking a different Credit Union.
Sandia labs is nothing more than a bank similar to Wells Fargo, lost is the art of caring for a customer and dealing with us as members, I have been a customer for almost 10 years and I am glad to cut ties. Banking and loans but no more, the service has failed, the fees are on the rise, and they serve small interests rather than that of their members. Deplorable!!! Steer Clear
New Mexico Educator's has the worst customer service. They also charge $35 for overdraft fees - most banks charge $26. They also charge a daily fee each day until the overdraft is rectified. I even experienced an overdraft fee when there was more than enough in the account to cover the costs. They were rude and told me I was wrong. I was looking at my statement and there was a positive balance before and after the actual charge and the fee. UNBELIEVABLE!! My bank merged with NM Educators so I tried them out. I have never been treated with so much disrespect. Any credit union is better than New Mexico Educators. I found First Financial to be respectful and no crazy fees.
Horrible customer service experience. The representative was rude and unwilling to assist. I will never use a First Financial bank because of this.
I am so glad I switched from the Big Bank to the credit union.Easy-going polite friendly service, never have to wait in line. It's great to do business with people who treat you like their neighbor and friend. Also, consider the ongoing devastation of our nation's economy being perpetrated by the big multi-national Banksters, and the fact that banking with a locally owned bank or credit union helps the local economy.Well Fargo is the worst bank in our area. I used to wait in line at Wells Fargo (either standing in line indoors or waiting in my car at the drive-in teller) for 30 to 45 minutes for any transaction. One time, I arrived at the drive-in teller at 4:05 and listened to the entire hour of Democracy Now on the radio while the lines of cars slowly inched forward. When the 5:00 news came on, I was the only one left in the line and the window tellers could see me, but just as I reached the window they shut their blinds and closed down. Next day I went in during business hours and complained to the supervisor, who tried to tell me I was wrong, that I must have been mistaken about the time, etc. I explained that I knew precisely what time it was because Democracy Now is only on from 4:00 to 5:00 in our area, but she just repeated that sometimes people think they're waiting an hour when it's really only a few minutes.I closed that account soon after.Switch to a credit union. You'll be glad you did.
I have had a few different banks and credit unions in ABQ, and Kirtland is by far the best in customer satisfaction and I love how they give me a rebate on my credit card every year. They have the lowest mortgage interest rate i had ever found.
