Terrible....don't send anyone you care for to this place. I'd read the reviews and found good and bad. Well now I know the good ones were probably written by a paid vendor. My dad was only there for 5 days and all his money was stolen. The envelope it was in was still there and ripped open so it was obviously stolen. I have nothing good to write about this place and will never allow anyone I love to stay there again. Beware. I'm so upset with myself for allowing my dad to even step foot in this horrible place.
Horrible experience having my mom there, don't even know where to begin from bedsores to food and water out of her reach , I read this place has a long history of problems....wish I knew before! Each time I went unannounced found my mother in need of diapering and accommodation in her bed!!!
The building in not made to be a nursing home. It's built above ground level, which means those in wheel chairs (which are 99% of the residence) could easily roll down the slanted walkway and fall off a curb causing possible serious injuries. I witnessed a woman who rolled out of the facility, she wasn't suppose to leave because I heard the door alarm go off and 2-3 min later I see her roll down the dangerous slanted walk way and fall off her wheel chair. Not one person responded to the alarm in those 3 min!! I ran to the nurse to let her know. Seriously, you couldn't hear the Alarm??? Dislike Ladera!!!!
I was worried about the place after all the reviews, however my grandfather was treated with the utmost respect and got extremely good care. I would take him back to these loving people anytime. I recommend them for the care of your loved one. They are knowledgable, compassionate and I would trust them again. Thank you so much for the care you provided. You are awesome.
This place is horrible!!! Unbelievable, how this place stays open, how the state allows this place to remain open. It only took less then 24hrs for them to ruin it. They don't know the symptoms of a fever nor can they operate an oxygen tank, maybe it was god sent that he had a fever and was sent back out to the hospital. He won't be going back ..They give him a pillow that was full of water in side. The uneducated CNA's clip his toe nails and he is diabetic I question them about it and they lie about it... Ask them questions and they don't know, thanks to the lying case manager at lovelace my father was put in this hell hole !!! BEWARE
This Place is where I live at
very nice, staff especially April are friendly and nice. Physical & Occupational Therapists were great. Only draw back is 4 beds to 1 bathroom. I would go again.
I cannot say much good about this facility. The staff were kind, but very under staffed. Lights go unanswered, and requested pain medication is not always given. The unit my mother was on was staffed with 1 RN, 1 aide, and 1 medication aide (a nonprofessional) for 30 patients. During the week and a half my mother was there no one ever even offered her the opportunity to brush her teeth. The therapy departments were the worst part. The "therapists" were all therapy aides, not trained professionals. I had no idea this was the case until I was given a copy of some of my mothers therapy notes when she was discharged. During her stay she was walked outside her room twice. She wanted, and asked to walk, but the staff wanted her to use a wheel chair. Mom was supposed to stay a month. We took her home after a week and a half. In my opinion, this is not a resort its a nursing home, and not a very good one.
This place is under-staffed and the administration sorely wanting. The care is minimal especially as a rehabilitation center. It was and remains a nursing home despite their attempts to charge Medicare and insurance companies more by claiming to have skilled nursing and actual rehab. The rehab received here was minimal and of little use. 15 minutes of generally under-attentive care, the rehab was at most times useless and at worst, dangerous. Unable to walk a patient was left unattended to pedal a machine while the "therapists" were (as always) busy on either their cell phones or talking to one another. A patient fell out of bed and went unattended for nearly 2 hours. "Help" only came when that person's roommate called her own home to let someone know. They then had to call the nurse's station. There are no phones or other communications in the rooms other than an antiquated call light system (to which no one then sees or responds). Very poor excuse for a rehab and the administration was unhelpful, patronizing and inept.
I have a dear friend who unfortunately fell into the hands of Princeton Place. Never in my life have I seen such neglect, abuse and total lack of caring or professionalism in my life. Let this be a WARNING...do all that you can to keep your loved ones from this death trap. Not only do they ignore the patients, leaving them in their urine & feces, but they will ignore the yells of patients in complete pain literally crying out for help. Not even an animal is left to suffer such treatment. I have called the so called Unit Manager never to get my call returned and along with this I have attempted to call the Patient Advocate Program, never to receive a call back. Talk about feeling hopeless. We will do everything in our power to get her out of this place, and I urge you never, never, never allow you loved one enter this place. This has been a total nightmare.
