When I asked Mike Yazzie to leave it was at the end of a day after he had completed all the wall patching he could, but was found waiting in that room looking at his phone. When I asked him what he was up to, he replied that he needed to wait for the mud to dry before texturing and painting. When I asked whether he would be doing that today, he said "no". I then asked why he was waiting here for it to dry since he couldn't continue until tomorrow, he stumbled over his words before packing to leave. That's when I wrote him a check for what he'd done so far and asked him not to return. This was after seeing him several times looking at his phone instead of being on task. That last instance was clear evidence that he was taking advantage of a "time and material" contract for a few simple wall patches.

Just had Goodrich owner yelling at me on the phone and then hanging up on me twice. I went in shortly after and paid the balance of our roofing bill. They jacked up the job with whatever subcontractor crew they used to roof our house. Now it's been an 8 month mess to "try" and get the finished "quality" result we were promised and sold on... After they threatened a lean, we dicided to pay balance (we were holding the last third of payment in the hopes they would make good on their contractual agreement) and now will go after them legally for breach. I tried my best to discuss the issues with the owner today only to be interrupted and verbally berated so many times I finally gave up and paid him. I figured I'll have all the time I need to discuss their breach of contract in the future. I also opened a case with the BBB, for what it's worth, we'll see. There are multiple stories I've now heard from multiple neighbors who have had to deal with the same lack of attention Goodrich puts toward its obligations. I would never recommend anyone ever use the sad excuse of a service business Goodrich roofing has become. What a unbelievable fall a once great company has taken over the past 25 years... Joke!!!
Spent thousands of dollars to have a new roof put on, and now the skylight is leaking in the bedroom and I have damaged drywall less than 7 months later. Their Better Business Bureau rating means nothing. Stay away from these people, or at least away from sales rep John!
Thank you all ... these folks even helped my wife change out a flat tire .... really ...seldom will you ever see service like this. My home and CAR are better for the call. :)
I had a valve break on my water heater which flooded my whole utility room over night. After a quick search of reading reviews and checking with approved vendors through my insurance company I chose American Restoration. I am very pleased with their level of detail, high communication and professional standards, and bringing my home back to new. Each department head was very pleasing to work with and brought ease to the whole process. The company took every effort to respect my home and my belongings. They even took the time to follow up on customer service during each step and sent ME a thank you card for choosing their company. Very great experience for the circumstance. I will recommend them to anyone with damage to their home. What was the best is I didn't have to argue with my insurance company, American Restoration took the time to communicate and make the job happen.
The team at American restoration understands how stressful a water emergency can be on a home, not only the structure of the home but also how it can impact us the occupants of the home. They worked hard to making sure that we were kept in the loop and took away a lot of stress. The process could bring a lot of stress but I was very happy with them & the work they did!if anything should ever occur again I would call them straight away, and get my life back to normal. they did a great job and I would recommend them if you simply want your house back without all the run around.
Its been a long road to residential recovery but I have finally arrived. My home needed some major TLC after the huge rainfall a few weeks ago. I reached out to the first company to pop up on my google search ( I was in no position to be selective and just needed fast help). Water was poring in my home for hours before I got home and witnessed the mess. These people are fast and had the ability to put me a ease quickly while they took over. Several weeks of work was overseen by one person who gave me his direct cell phone number and ALWAYS answered my calls. I paid my deductible they took care of the rest with my insurance company who they happened to have a very good relationship with. I am thankful to the entire experience. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!!
I was recently contacted by American Restoration Water and Fire and asked to post a review. I think it was brave of the team since it was not perfect and smooth. However, I am pleased with the effort to get reviews by any company since that means client experience means SOMETHING to them. So for that my reveiw goes from 3 stars to 4. My pipes broke in November 2011. This type of experience is almost a nightmare. I believe getting anywhere with my insurance company would have been impossible without the help of American Restoration Water and Fire. They had great relationships and a very good understanding of my policy coverage. My biggest complaint was the time factor. Somedays it seemed impossibly long to make progress. All in all if it ever happened again I would not dare call a different company. My home is my home again. (maybe better) Pat E.
I was referred to Goodrich Roofing by a very good friend of mine. She had her roof replaced and he dad had also used Goodrich. When her salesperson, Jeff was at her home, she gave him my contact information. He called me as soon as he left her place and we agreed to meet the next day. Jeff showed up on time, we talked about my concerns with the roof; I had lost a lot of shingles during a wind storm in the spring. He went up and inspected the roof and took measurements. He then reviewed my options with me, bringing to my attention that I may be able to file a homeowners insurance claim to cover the damage; there was more damage up there than what I could see from the ground. He then helped me file the claim with my insurance company. A week later my insurance company sent an adjuster out. Jeff came out to meet with him to review the damage. My insurance company agreed to cover the cost of the roof. At that time, Jeff and I reviewed the items that would be installed and upgraded my roof from a 3-tab to a laminated dimensional shingle at no charge. We then scheduled an appointment for the roof to be replaced. On the day of install the roofers arrived right on time. When they started the tear off we discovered that the underlying decking was bad. The job foreman called and let Jeff know; he came out, reviewed the damage and made the call to my insurance company to get approval for the decking. The install continued and was completed that day. The installers were very polite and did a great job. They even did the roof on my dog house to match my new roof! At the end of the day they ran a giant magnate through the yard to pick up stray nails and let me know that sometimes a few get missed and to be careful. It’s been 6 months and I’ve only found 2 nails in the yard, considering the amount of roofing material that was taken off, I’m really impressed. The roof came with a 3 year workmanship warranty and a 5 year limited lifetime warranty on the shingles. I called Goodrich out because my swamp cooler had a tiny leak, they came out, saw that it was a small gap in the metal, sealed it up and it has been perfect ever since. They explained that sometimes when the unit is move the silicone seals along the edges work their way loose. I am very happy with the new roof and would recommend Goodrich to anyone. They are not the cheapest around, but they do offer the best quality for your money; and I know if I have an issue in 10 years they’ll still be around to help. I checked them out with the BBB and they have an A+ rating and have been in business for over 60 years.
We had a water leak that occured in the second story of our 3 story home.It caused damage to the first and third level of our home. We called American Restoration after dealing with a different company when a co-worker recommend American Restoration. We had problems with our insurance company and adjuster. The project was at a stand still and actually getting worse because of the water damage. Mark took over and with his construction background he was very competent in organizing progress with my homes contruction. With his business and professional background he delt beautifully with my insurance company. He understands the emotional pressure the homeowner is dealing with and never lost his patience. The only reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars was for our expectations of completion by Feb. 1st. It eneded up taking anthe additional 2 weeks. Overall it wentto very smooth over the courseplace of 3 months. Thank you endlessly American Restoration.
