Cons: U Store It Min Storage has an out dated communication and billing system. They need to update to the 21st century. The people who run the facility on Baylor are nice enough, but communicating with them means if you call you are forced to listen to an interminably long message with no way to bypass just to leave a message. They may or may not return your call. They use snail mail to communicate when email would be more expedient and cost effective. So do not expect quick answers. If you're retired and travel, you may not get your mail and an answer for weeks. This company's billing is cumbersome. If you do not pay in person, billing must come directly from your checking account, the bank mails a check to the company. You receive no email confirmation., but must check your bank account to confirm the bill was paid. If something happens to interrupt that process, the company mails out a 30 day notice, which you may or may not receive, or receive in a timely manner. Then they have the opetion to confiscate the contents of your storage. The pros: this place is a few bucks cheaper because they are not 24/7 accessible. Safe, enclosed by a fence with a code access gate. Clean.
Being a first time home buyer I required someone with a lot of knowledge, honesty and patience and found this in Adam. He showed me homes within the low end of my budget before we proceeded to the mid and high end of my budget. I moved into this apartment complex when it was Warren Coronado and im still living here after it became The Villas @ Uptown. Its: the neighbors are cool they don't harass or bring drama to your apartment, it's very cheap, utilities are free, the maintenance worker are very efficient and helpful to fix things in your apartment, you can pay rent online or in person. I have a friend that lives in another apartment complex where he has pays for rent than I do, but he tells me that management doesn't keep up with the maintenance in his apartment and when he calls them to fix things procrastinate and he has to contact their corporate office with his issues about his apartment. I've lived here for 1 year and I've enjoyed living at the Villas @ Uptown Apartments.
If you are looking for a perfect apartment in an immaculate setting, then maybe you should avoid these properties. BUT if you simply want a decent apartment at a more than decent rate , then I would absolutely recommend Becker Properties. The management is very easygoing and they ALLOW PETS based on the NATURE of the dog rather than judging the breed like most others do. The properties aren't perfect , but they do the best they can. Rent is more than reasonable and so are the people running it. I've had no problems and nothing bad to say . They have always treated me with respect and been more than accommodating .
This man was awesome, he did a great job of letting us know about the great deals as well as pro's and con's to every house. Words cannot tell you how much this man helped, he was patient and always adapting to our needs and preferences. From the beginning to the end he was a tremendous help, the man provided pizza for our helpers when we moved! I had a bad experience with a realtor before this, Dave was honest and a hard working man who I have a lot of respect for after this whole process was said and done.
Formerly known as warren cornado apartments the villas @ uptown is the best apartments hands down for theyre price the managment team is really hard working and wont rob you for your application fee and never call you backthey will tell you if you are approved or not right then and there and as long as your not a violent criminal or something i almost guarentee you will get approved i have no complaints!
This is a great place for a first apartment!! The staff is great, most of the property is clean, and it's in a decent location for access of everyday shopping.... I would definitely recommend.
