Greenbriar is a remarkable community in the Northeast Heights off Tramway and Indian School. I have lived here since 2008. GB is a friendly place. It is economical! It has the advantages of an apartment complex (maintenance staff), a condominium (mortgage interest & tax deductions), and home ownership (a backyard). People are expected to contribute to the life of the community by participating in committees, events, and work days. Come, check us out!

Provided by DexKnowsLooking for a better apartment with a view of nature, we found a real home and community. $17k bought us a 3 BR one-and-a-half bath townhouse. It includes a yard and tree-filled view. Our carrying fees of $517 monthly include water and full unit maintenance including the roof. There is a clubhouse and outdoor pool and good parking. We like participating on the resident committees, enjoying the friendliness of the neighbors and the many small dogs that are walked on the well-maintained grounds. Wish we'd found this place years ago!

Provided by SuperpagesThis is the best real estate bargain in New Mexico. For less than $17k, I bought a 3 BR, 1.5 bath unit with fenced yard and a view of the east mountains right across Tramway. My monthly carrying fees of $517 include water use and repairs of everything from the roof to the plumbing and AC. We have beautiful grounds and an outdoor pool, clubhouse, library and reserved parking. Three parks are a short walking distance from the cooperative and we can walk to the UA High Ridge 8 cinema in less than 10 minutes. All members participate in running the coop through volunteering on committees such as Activities and Landscaping. Although we have a very large contingent of retirees, we also have families and singles of all ages. Best move I ever made.

No idea why we never heard of this coop until last year. It is affordable and friendly. We paid $17k for a 3 BR one-and-a-half bath townhouse, with a yard and trees. The carrying fees of $517 monthly include water and full unit maintenance, use of the clubhouse, library, pool, and parking. We volunteer on committees and walk our dogs daily on the grounds. Surprised there are not more coops -- they make home ownership viable for hardworking people like us.
