I have been eating at this place since the early 1990's and I have never been disappointed by the food. It is the Best in town, with great service too! In the warm weather, sitting outside is even better. When ever I have out of town visitors, this is a must restaurant to eat at.

We came to Corrales from El Paso to get a taste of the wine and food. We were told by some locals that Casa de Benavidez and Pintos were the best places to go. We first stopped at Benavidez first. We asked the lady if we could see the menu. We looked at it and as I handed her the menu and thanked her, she said "If you want we have a café in back with cheaper food". Can you imagine that!! We turned around and left, what ignorant thing to say. We will never go back and we will let everyone know not to go. Oh, by the way, we went to Pintos and it was great with good food and service.

Provided by DexKnowsWas looking for a nice place with good food to have a small business meeting. The service was very slow and I had ordered a NY steak which was over cooked and overpriced. I was charged more than $30 for a steak that was terrible and two very small fountain drinks, which was mostly ice. I was refused a refill and even had hassles splitting the check. Management was very rude and very unprofessional. I will NEVER return and recommend that no one else does either

Casa de Benavidez has an outstanding sopapilla burger and great breakfast burritos.

Provided by DexKnowsI had the shrimp Fajitas which were more like a Chinese food dish as they place broccoli and squash in the mix and it was terrible. Hadn't been there for about 20 years

Provided by DexKnowsA very expensive restaurant, with poor quality food, and a rude hostess that should be fired. She has abolutely no people skills and thinks that she is doing you a favor by accepting you in her establishment. I cannot and will not recommend casa de benavidez to anyone, until this hostess is removed.

Provided by DexKnowsWay too expensive for the quality and quantity that was served. Our waitress was attentive. The host (owner?) was rude. The quality of food has definitely gone down as the price has gone up. Breakfast for 2 adults and 1 child was almost $50. Huevos Rancheros, Breakfast burrito, and childs plate should not have cost this much. My fault for not taking a better look at the receipt. Either way, it was too expensive and if I was overcharged, I still paid. I will NOT refer friends/family to this restaurant.

Provided by DexKnowsWe went to Casa de Benavidez for a meal to cheer up my best friend. It took over 10 minutes for a server to take our drink order, which was iced tea. It took another ten minutes for the iced tea to arrive. My friend found a piece of plastic in her food. We asked for a manager. The manager and another server came over. They seemed to think it was pretty funny and finally half-heartedly apologized, then left never to be seen again. Nothing was removed from our bill and nothing was offered to compensate for this. Bad food, bad service, way too expensive. I can get the same quality for a lot less at Taco Bell.

Provided by DexKnowsWhat you don't see in the patio is what goes on behind the scenes at Casa Benavides. It's not pretty, believe me. In spite of our love for outdoor dining in Albuquerque, we never go to Casa Benavides anymore.

We debated taking our significant leftovers home but were leaning toward just throwing them away. Then someone said to take it home for the dogs. We put it in front of the dogs and they went away.
Their food could be drastically improved by firing their cooks and hiring cooks from Lotaburger. After that they should work on getting people-friendly help.

Provided by DexKnowsThe patio makes dining a very pleasant experience. The food makes it a place to come back to again and again.
