I order my son birthday cake two weeks ago.called on Friday to confirmed I will be picking up a curious George cake on Saturday at 9:00 am get their at 1:00pm they are givingme a Crayola cake that I nerver order.I personally went to this location and place my order for a curious George cake.I even show the sales girl the curious George design from their computer.my husband told the manger and she said they will fix it.I decided to called in and speak with manager first of all she was very rude and nasty.she told me that they work with code and that's what I order really I chosen curious George themes. And my husband is rude.I were given a Crayola curious George cake with all different color around it and a small curious George drawn on top. I am no satisfied with my ordered at all.I will never recommend my friends or family.
Got my wedding cake here. Best fondant I've ever had; not only was it NOT bad, it tasted GOOD! This should be no surprise since every dessert I've ever tasted by Kate is excellent. (Also, the cake looked amazing. Guests were super impressed!)
Best bagels in Albany! Variety of different bagels, freshly baked on the premises. Super busy on the weekends but worth the line. Tons of different options like tuna salad, turkey, eggs, white fish, chicken salad, ham, BLT, etc. Great selection of teas and coffees as well as some bakery selections. They also offer soup and salads.Awesome Place!!
I can't understand y y'all are making the cookies smaller ..its unfair to the consumer to have to pay a high price for less product ....many ppl have stopped purchasing the coco cookie due to cost and weight
I agree with some of the negative comments, but try a bagel sandwich Mmm... They are damn good. A tad pricey but good. The coffee is ok, but overpriced as you guys said and yes the staff is a little unprofessional. This is more of a U-albany type of place for kids that arent as picky as some of the Cafe snobs. Not that I am sticking up for unprofessionalism. All in all so-so, but only go for a bagel sandwich...or bagels.
Everyone should use Kate's Kakes for any and all occasions involving cake! From the beginning, looking at potential vendors for the wedding cake, Kate presented herself and her business as classy, enthusiastic, respectful and very professional. She listened carefully to myself and my (now) husband on what we wanted. We could contact her anytime with any questions or concerns. Not only is she everything you want in a baker, but her prices are reasonable as well. I ordered a surprise groom's cake from her in the shape of a Lakers basketball jersey (chocolate cake/chocolate mousse). Our wedding cake was picture perfect as well, and everyone thought the handcrafted sugar flowers were real! That cake was cinnamon-chiffon with white chocolate mousse. Everyone loved the cakes and talked about both of them non-stop. We even had people like my sister, who ONLY eats chocolate cake devour some of the cinnamon cake! We will definitely become repeat customers of Kate's Kakes and her fabulous and tasty creations.
