Wolf's 111 Restaurant & Game

The atmosphere was OK for a bar/restaurant, and I saw some nice plates come out of the kitchen. I opted for the 1/2 pound burger, but it was a mistake. The burger meat was really good and tender and lots of bacon, but the grilling was awful. By that I mean my burger tasted like someone held a lighter under it. It must have sat on a flame with black smoke billowing all over it or something. Kind of like the taste when you throw a burger over charcoal grill when the lighter fluid has not burned off yet. The fries were so-so too...nothing to write home about. I was going to get the salad with shrimp and scallops on it since it was the special that day (looked good too), but gave the bacon burger a whirl. It would have been really good had it not tasted like burning plastic and black smoke. They need to tweak the grill or burn less grease under the grilled food or something, anything to get rid of that black smoke taste.
