I love Jayna! She does amazing things with color. I was nervous about trusting a new salon with my waist length hair but she did not disappoint. It is a tad expensive but when I follow her advice my color stays in for months at a time!
No one returns your calls; and when they do they tell you someone is going to be there and they are not. Very hard to get appointment or gift certificate.
Go there with lot of $$$$ in ur pocket. I've been here twice and needed a second visit each time. First time my keratin treatment was not applied correctly so I had to go back and get redone. Thought I would give them another try. Second time, came in with a picture a highlights that I wanted. When I left I couldn't even tell I had highlights unless under the light. So I called and asked if the stylist could fix my hair (maybe adding a few more lighter highlights) after I just spent $160 (plus another $60 on hair products) here. Sure come in..... after 5 more foils and a glaze, I get to the counter for a suprising charge of another $60. Are u kidding me! An uphappy customer and you're going to charge them again. 1 unhappy customer tells a lot of people. Needless to say I will not be back to this salon!
*BEWARE!!!* - ABSOLUTEY HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE!We were a wedding party from Hartford CT (wedding in Albany), found this place online. We all showed up early for our 9AM appointment. Well NO ONE showed up until almost 10!!! We actually looked up the owners house and went there which was vacant, for sale. When the owner (Katy) and her partner finally arrived, smelling horrible like cigarettes and alcohol, they never said sorry and were very rude right off the bat. At this point we all knew it wasn't going to be a good experience. Now about their work.... STAY AWAY!! When they finally started (over an hour late) it's like they forgot all the supplies and tools at home that they needed. It was a mess! After makeup and hair, members of our party ACTUALLY WENT BACK TO THE HOTEL TO REDUE IT THEMSELVES. That's how bad this place is. None of the girls were happy. One of the girls had 32 pins in her hair that kept falling out all night and her hair was LITERALLY tied in a knot to hold it up. Its like they knew they were late, so started taking short cuts. Now on to the bride...It took every last bit of energy for us no to scream and yell at the 2 hung-over workers. The bride was outside crying getting fresh air because of how horrible this place was. Again, no apologies or remorse what so ever. We were running so late because of Hairs to You, we just booked out of there around 2 and were so late for pictures, that the bride and groom MISSED half of the reception. Hairs to you and the owner should be avoided at all costs! This is not a good place and honestly we have no idea why there are other positive reviews about this place online. They must be made up by the owners family and friends. They destroyed our hair, butchered our makeup, and wasted THOUSANDS of our dollars throughout the day. Ruined the first half of the wedding by being so late and not prepared! Still to this day no apologies, return calls or reimbursement at all! BEWARE!!!
Steve is a top-notch stylist, gave me a very nice haircut first time in his shop.
This place is amazing! It's reasonable and I have never been disappointed with how my hair comes out. My stylist, Katie, takes her time and always does an amazing job! I definitely recommend Stiletto!
Hudson Hair Studio is a great salon in the Empire State Plaza area. I've been going here for years, and never had a negative experience. Marcus is ready for me when I walk in the door. On the rare occasion I have to wait, I enjoy the comfortable couch and the friendly chat with staff. It is such a relaxed environment that I look forward to my appointments.
I've been going to Ania's for over a decade, and by now have experienced the talent of EVERY ONE of her exceptional professionals, and had just about EVERY ONE of the services offered there! From the moment you walk through the door, you feel welcomed in an immaculate and serene environment. Her master stylists have done everything from fixing a horrendous color job that I had elsewhere, to Keratin treatments (amazing!!), to long, curly extensions that are a perfect fit for me after having two kids and having my hair thin tremendously. I cannot say enough about the talent there: Patrizia (extensions!!), Liz (outstanding cut!!) , Donna (MASTER colorist!!), Michelle, Bobby, Corey (BEST massage you'll EVER have), Dawn (BEST facials!!), and the list goes on and on!!!You cannot go wrong at Ania's. Go once, and you will NEVER go elsewhere again! Geez, I sound like a commercial.....I'll stop now.
Steve is an artist in cutting, coloring and styling hair. As soon as I leave the salon, I receive compliments. The color looks so natural and his prices are very reasonable.
This is a great salon. Steve does a really good job on cutting and styling hair. I asked not to have my hair cut short and he did exactly what I wanted and that doesn't happen often at other salons. A very good experience at a decent price. I will be going back again and again!
