I absolutely recommend them to anyone needing to get their dog groomed or boarded. They are very knowledgable and will accomodate anything you need. Their facility is smaller but very clean and more like home than most dog facilties. They treated our kids like they were there own. Will always recommend them.
We dropped off two dogs to be boarded for one week in July. The facility was clean, and above the caliber of a regular kennel (based on the fact that the dogs stayed in small rooms and not kennels and had a large fenced in outdoor area). When we picked up our dogs, they were healthy and clean. However, the reason for such a poor review is the condescending and preachy way the owner treated us. She has very strong beliefs regarding rawhides being deadly and how dogs need to follow very strict eating and playing routines. We had already received the professional advice of our vet on both of these topics and therefore, don't agree with what she said, but it was the manner in which she said it that was so upsetting. If we had had another option for boarding, we would have marched our dogs right out and not looked back. She treated both my wife and I like irresponsible children, even raising her voice at us (almost yelling). At one point she purposefully asked a very leading question just so she could preach to us some more. Again, the facility looked well kept and I have no doubt our dogs were cared for appropriately. Unfortunately, due to her extreme "holier-than-thou" attitude, I would not recommend this facility, and there's not a chance I would personally return.
I researched online to find a nice place to take a special dog to receive a much needed grooming and found this place. All went okay during phone conversation with the owner Leslie explaining my situation and the dogs needs. A couple hours of leaving the dog in her care I receive a phone call from her stating she had talked to someone and that said something about me the humane society and a child and accused me if lying to her about the dog and where it came from. Also stated that I brought the dog to her because every groomer in town and the humane society "Knew about me". U said I had no idea what she was talking about and she would give me no further info. I immediately started driving back yo this place thinking the owner crazy. After arriving I asked who had given her this info and she said that she would not tell me but it was someone who had "Dealt with me" at the Humane Society. Since I know this to be completely false I told her I was calling the Humane Society right there. She then stated the person did not work there. After reminding her of her previous statement she said this person knew me and was a former Humane Society Employee. After telling her what she was saying was a complete fabrication and I have never had any issues with animals or the Humane Society her only reply was that I live in a small town. The owner thinks nothing of telling and spreading lies and does not hesitate even when there is nothing to back up her slanderous statements. To accuse an innocent person you just met of outlandish statements with no proof is absolutely un excusable. I will NEVER come here again. I would not recommend this place to Anyone who has received or found a dog that wants to do right by it by getting it groomed and taken care of to come here. Especially anyone that does not live in Alanson because that is enough for the owner to begin her insanity apparently.
We were visiting from Nashville and brought our 7 month old Mastiff here for a week of daycare and a night of boarding, as we were renting a cabin on Mullet Lake and did not want to leave our dog home alone all day . I can not tell you how much we and our dog loved this place. We were always greeted with a warm welcoming and our dog never wanted to leave. All the employees and owners treated our Puppy as their own. The prices were more then reasonable as well as a super clean facility and friendliness to boot.
